We were delighted to welcome colleagues and friends to the Opening Ceremony of LIVE 2026 at the beautiful Makedonia Palace, where a packed auditorium reflected the great enthusiasm and support of the vascular community.

Professor Christos Karkos, President of the Organizing Committee and Professor of Vascular Surgery at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, warmly welcomed the participants and officially opened the congress.

The ceremony included brief welcome addresses from representatives of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Stony Brook University, the Hellenic Society of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, and the Hellenic Phlebological Society, highlighting the strong international and scientific collaboration supporting LIVE 2026.

The Opening Ceremony concluded with the “Lectures in Memoria of Professors A. Katsamouris and D. Tsetis,” featuring distinguished presentations by Professor D. Karnabatidis (Greece) and Professor V. Riambau (Spain).
