【HKBU rises to 205th in THE World University Rankings 2027】
HKBU notes that in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, its ranking has risen to 205th, placing sixth among all universities in Hong Kong. Notably, HKBU’s scores in both teaching and research have continued to improve, demonstrating the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its transdisciplinary teaching, learning, and research capabilities. Its achievements in integrating creative culture, technological applications, and diverse learning experiences have gained international recognition.
Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, says: “In the First Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (2026–2030), the Chief Executive advocates for the integrated development of education, technology, and talent. Institutions are encouraged to further expand and strengthen their leading and distinctive academic disciplines, while also fostering and developing emerging fields and cross-disciplinary areas. Building on our extensive experience in transdisciplinary teaching and learning, HKBU will continue to advance transdisciplinary education and further leverage our strengths in integrating the humanities and technology. The University is committed to nurturing future-shaping talent for the global community and contributing to Hong Kong’s development as an international hub for high-calibre talents.”
University rankings released by different organisations around the world vary in their areas of focus and statistical methodologies. HKBU will continue to take ranking results as a reference in its ongoing efforts to enhance its education and research standards.
【「2027年度泰晤士高等教育世界大學排名」：浸大排名上升至第205位】
浸大表示，在最新公布的「2027年度泰晤士高等教育世界大學排名」中，浸大排名上升至205位，在全港各間大學之中位列第六。當中，浸大在教學與研究方面的評分持續上升，反映浸大不斷強化其跨學科教學與研究能力，結合創意文化、科技應用與多元化學習體驗，成績獲得國際肯定。
浸大校長衞炳江教授表示：「在《香港特別行政區經濟和社會發展第一個五年規劃（2026—2030年）》中，行政長官提倡一體化推進教育、科技、人才發展，鼓勵院校做大做強優勢特色學科，培育發展新興學科和跨學科。浸大多年來積聚豐富的跨學科教與學經驗，我們會繼續致力推動跨學科教育，並發揮浸大在人文與科技融合方面的優勢，為國際社會培育能塑造未來的人才，助力香港建設國際高端人才集聚高地。」
全球不同機構發布的大學排名，聚焦範疇和統計方法均有所不同，浸大將會繼續參考不同機構的排名結果，作為提升教研工作的其中一項參考指標。
