What does it take to thrive through decades of technological change?

For our alumnus Gary Kwok, now Head of Architecture at the Securities and Futures Commission, the answer is simple: say “Yes” to opportunities.

Since graduating in 1997 with a First Class Honours degree in Applied Computing, Gary has embraced challenges across online gaming, entrepreneurship, mobile app development, banking and financial regulation. Along the way, he has been guided by two enduring principles: “Simple is always better” and “Say ‘Yes’ to opportunities.”

In his inspiring career journey, Gary shares valuable insights on lifelong learning, embracing change, creativity in the age of AI, and the qualities that will help young people succeed in the future.
