🔬 浸大喺「創新科技嘉年華2026」展示11項跨學科研發成果！

創新科技點樣融入日常生活，為健康、科學同文化帶嚟新可能？👀

「創新科技嘉年華2026」由10月24號開始，浸大以「攜手跨學科，創新展高飛」為主題，展示咗11項涵蓋中醫藥、地理及生物等領域嘅創新成果，展現傳統智慧與現代科技融合嘅力量！🚀

香港特別行政區政府財政司司長陳茂波先生、創新科技及工業局局長孫東教授等嘉賓亦親臨浸大展館參觀。並由浸大校長衞炳江教授、行政副校長暨秘書長鄒靄雲女士、暫任首席創新總監劉樂庭教授、中醫藥學院院長及講座教授李敏教授，以及知識轉移處總監林國然先生，向嘉賓介紹浸大喺跨學科研究及中醫藥領域嘅最新發展，展示創新科研成果點應用喺健康、醫療、食品安全及日常生活。

仲有除咗11個喺浸大展館展出嘅科研成果外，由浸大聯合研發嘅中國神舟太空飛船「護航椅」（第一代至第三代）亦於航天專區展出，協助神舟太空人在著陸後重新適應地球重力。🚀

🔬 HKBU Showcases 11 Interdisciplinary Research Innovations at InnoCarnival 2026!

How can innovation and technology transform our daily lives and open up new possibilities in health, science and culture? 👀

Kicking off on 24 October, InnoCarnival 2026 features HKBU’s 11 innovative research projects under the theme “Soar High with Interdisciplinary Research”. Spanning areas such as Chinese medicine, geography, biology and more highlighting the power of combining traditional wisdom with modern technology! 🚀

Distinguished guests, including Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretaryof the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR); Prof. Sun D**g, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the HKSAR Government, and other guests visited HKBU’s exhibition booth. Prof. Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor; Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Prof. Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer; Prof. Li Min, Dean and Chair Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine; and Mr Edmond Lam, Director of Knowledge Transfer of HKBU introduced HKBU’s latest developments in interdisciplinary research and Chinese medicine, showcasing how research innovations are applied to healthcare, food safety and everyday life.

Beyond the 11 research innovations featured at HKBU’s booth, the Shenzhou Spacecraft Seat (first to third generations), jointly developed by HKBU and its partners, is also on display in the Aerospace Zone. The seat helps Shenzhou astronauts readjust to Earth’s gravity after landing. 🚀

📍 前海創新創業考察團一日遊🚌
由浸大知識轉移處同浸大前海科技創新創業研究院（研究院）合辦嘅「前海考察一日遊」已經喺10月16號順利完成！當日有40多位師生由香港出發，走入深圳前海，親身了解大灣區嘅創新創業生態。💡

浸大知識轉移處總監暨浸大前海科技創新創業研究院主任林國然先生致辭時勉勵大家把握香港同大灣區嘅互補優勢，期望大家勇於跨過深圳河，實踐創業夢想。🚀

其後，浸大知識轉移處經理暨浸大前海科技創新創業研究院運營副主任葉凱廷先生亦介紹咗研究院嘅平台優勢、為初創團隊提供嘅一站式服務，以及前海管理局嘅政策支援。🤝

當日行程充實又精彩，大家走訪咗多個前海創科及青年發展設施：
🔹 前海深港青年夢工場（前海5號樓）：認識青年創業孵化生態，亦喺城市看台感受前海嘅發展活力。🏙️
🔹 浸大前海科技創新創業研究院：探訪浸大喺前海設立嘅首個專屬創新平台及初創孵化基地。🏢
🔹 前海港青驛站：認識為香港青年而設嘅共居空間、補貼支援同社群配套。🏠
🔹 其域創新（XGRIDS）：參觀由浸大校友創辦嘅科技企業，了解實時3D重建及空間演算法喺智慧城市、數碼孿生等領域嘅應用。🌐

📍 Qianhai Exploration Day Trip 🚌
The “Qianhai Exploration Day Trip,” co-organised by HKBU’s Knowledge Transfer Office and the HKBU Qianhai Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (the Institute), was successfully held on 16 October 2026. More than 40 students and staff travelled from Hong Kong to Qianhai, Shenzhen, to gain first-hand insights into the Greater Bay Area’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. 💡

Mr Edmond Lam, Director of Knowledge Transfer of HKBU, and Director of the HKBU Qianhai Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, highlighted the complementary strengths of Hong Kong and other Greater Bay Area cities in research, industry and markets. He encouraged participants to seize the opportunities across the Shenzhen River and pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. 🚀

Mr Steven Yip, Manager of Knowledge Transfer of HKBU and Associate Operations Director of HKBU Qianhai Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, also introduced the Institute’s strategic location, one-stop support for start-ups and policy incentives provided by Qianhai Authority. 🤝

Participants visited several innovation and youth development hubs across Qianhai:
🔹 Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (EHub Block No.5) — Discover the start-up incubation ecosystem and take in Qianhai’s rapid development from the Urban Terrace. 🏙️
🔹 HKBU Qianhai Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship — Visit HKBU's first dedicated innovation platform and start-up incubation base in Qianhai. 🏢
🔹 Hong Kong Youth Short-Term Apartments — Learn about co-living spaces, subsidies and community support available to Hong Kong youth. 🏠
🔹 XGRIDS — Visit a technology company founded by an HKBU alumnus and learn how real-time 3D reconstruction and spatial algorithms are used in smart cities and digital twins. 🌐

A big thank you to all our partners for their warm hospitality and support. The visit was a valuable opportunity for everyone to learn more about Qianhai’s innovation landscape and the possibilities for collaboration! 🙏

今次參展的創科公司之一，是浸大前海科技創新創業研究院的入駐初創企業——深圳力博無限科技有限公司（LaborX）。LaborX帶來「全驅力控靈巧手」，着重於機械人抓取重物及靈活操作等應用，並探索具身智能在工業場景落地的更多可能。🦾

展會期間，LaborX亦參加了初創企業介紹會，向現場觀眾介紹團隊，分享產品特色及應用方向，讓更多人認識這項創新方案。🎤

【HKBU Knowledge Transfer Office × Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) 2026】🤖

HKBU KTO took part in the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) 2026 from October 13 to 16, showcasing innovative technologies and exchanging ideas with industry professionals. 💡

Among the featured companies was LaborX, a start-up based at the HKBU Qianhai Institute for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. LaborX showcased its Fully Actuated Force-Controlled Dexterous Hand, designed for robotic grasping and dexterous manipulation. The team is exploring new possibilities for bringing embodied intelligence into industrial settings. 🦾

LaborX also joined a Start-up Smart Launch presentation session during the fair, introducing the team, highlighting the product’s features and sharing its potential applications with attendees. 🎤

今個禮拜一 （9月28 號）浸大知識轉移處舉辦嘅「HSITP Incubation Programmes – Turbocharge Your Start-up Growth」分享會圓滿結束！多謝港深創新及科技園 （港深創科園) 代表嘅分享同埋浸大師生同初創朋友捧場 🙌。今次港深創科園嘅代表向參加者分享咗好多加入港深創科園孵化計劃嘅貼士 💡。

現場亦介紹咗幾個重點孵化計劃同埋港深創科園成個創科生態圈 🌱。
SPIN@HSITP係幫助仲喺構思同研發階段嘅團隊，扶助創新企業家落實創新想法，踏出創業第一步 。

This Monday (Sep 28), the HKBU Knowledge Transfer Office hosted the “HSITP Incubation Programmes – Turbocharge Your Start-up Growth” sharing session, which wrapped up successfully! Big thanks to the Hong Kong–Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP) representatives for their insights, and to all the faculty, students, and start-up friends who joined us 🙌.

HSITP reps and participants shared plenty of practical tips on applying to HSITP’s incubation programmes 💡. They also introduced several flagship incubation programmes and HSITP’s wider I&T ecosystem 🌱:

SPIN@HSITP: Supports teams in the ideation and R&D stage, helping innovative entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable business plans and take the first step into entrepreneurship.
IGNITE@HSITP: Provides funding and comprehensive support to start-ups, aiming to commercialise their research outcomes.
GAS@HSITP: Tailored for high-potential, fast-growing innovation start-ups, offering financial assistance and expert professional services to speed up expansion and scale your market presence.

Dr Sanjie Jiang, Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Biology at HKBU, shared how his AI powered plant breeding platform helps identify and grow the best varieties faster and more precisely. His company, DigitalPhyto AI, is part of the HSITP incubation programme, and he dropped some tips for applying to the HSITP incubation programmes 📝.
