Lyra joined us at PolyU with a clear goal: to become a standout leader in a complex world. Her deep academic interest lies in Hotel Management, but she wanted to take it a step further by integrating it with Applied Psychology—using human behavior insights to elevate luxury hospitality experiences.

To guide her through this ambitious, self-designed curriculum, Lyra was paired with a true titan in the field: Professor Kaye Chon, Dean of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at PolyU. Dean Chon is a globally celebrated icon in hospitality education, and under his visionary leadership, the School has earned an esteemed international reputation and unparalleled prestige within the industry. He is also a recipient of the prestigious UNWTO Ulysses Prize from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (now UN Tourism).

With Dean Chon in her corner, Lyra isn't just checking off course requirements. She is learning how to bridge academic theories with real-world industry trends, prepping for elite hotel Management Trainee programs, and charting her future path toward postgraduate studies in Switzerland.
