由大坑火龍文化館嘅專業導賞，到體驗傳統工藝編織火龍頭，最後漫遊大坑多個文化地標，參加者喺短短一個下午就充分感受到大坑嘅悠久歷史同文化底蘊，仲帶走自製迷你草龍頭，滿載而歸🤩

【 👣】As echoes of the Mid Autumn Festival still lingered, around 30 Lingnan alumni, together with their family and friends, explored Tai Hang last Saturday, delving into the history and cultural significance of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage — the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance🔥🐉

Featuring a guided tour at the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre, a straw dragonhead-weaving workshop that offered hands on experience of traditional craftsmanship, and a walking tour of Tai Hang’s historic landmarks, participants immersed themselves in the district’s longstanding history and rich cultural heritage, and took home their very own handmade mini straw dragonheads as souvenirs 🤩

嶺南大學在最新公布的2027年度《泰晤士高等教育》世界大學排名再有亮眼表現。在涵蓋全球118個國家及地區、合共2,297所高等學府中，嶺大排名由第301至350位區間，大幅躍升至第257位，攀升近100位，升幅居香港特區八所資助大學之首，彰顯嶺大在提供優質教育、推動產學研協作、營造國際化學術環境，以及培育數字時代研究型博雅人才的卓越成果，備受國際高等教育界的肯定。

Lingnan University has achieved outstanding results in the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. Among 2,297 institutions across 118 countries and regions, Lingnan has made a remarkable leap from the 301–350 band to 257th, climbing nearly 100 places—the largest improvement among the Hong Kong SAR’s eight UGC-funded universities.

This achievement demonstrates widespread international recognition of the University’s excellence in quality education, industry-academic-research collaboration, internationalisation, and the nurturing of research-oriented liberal arts talent in the digital era.

【少雪齋藝術展覽館 穿梭時空的文化傳承☀️】

【The Chamber of Young Snow Art Exhibition Hall - Bridging Time for Cultural Continuity ☀️】

Supported by Dr Stephen Suen, founder of the Chamber of Young Snow (CYS), Lingnan University inaugurated the Chamber of Young Snow Art Exhibition Hall on our Tuen Mun campus in 2023. The Hall offers a curated space for exhibitions showcasing Dr Suen’s remarkable collection of Chinese artwork, as well as invaluable experiential and curatorial opportunities for students, nurturing future leaders in arts and culture. In addition, the CYS Distinguished Visiting Scholars Programme invites global renowned scholars and experts to engage in intellectual, artistic and cultural exchanges, fostering interdisciplinary academic exchange and enhancing public understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. 每年中秋，喺大坑街頭舉辦嘅舞火龍巡遊都會成為城中熱點🔥呢項起源於 19 世紀嘅傳統習俗，唔單止係香港獨有嘅中秋節慶活動，更名列國家級非物質文化遺產🌟

今次活動我哋將會同校友一齊去到大坑火龍文化館，透過專業導賞了解舞火龍嘅起源同文化意義🏰再參與編織火龍頭工作坊，親身體驗傳統扎作手藝🪡仲會漫遊大坑社區，走訪區內歷史建築👣千其唔好錯過！

Every Mid Autumn Festival, the dazzling and vibrant Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance parade becomes one of the city’s most anticipated highlights🔥 As a unique festive tradition of Hong Kong, the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance dates back to the 19th century, and has been recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage🌟

This time, our alumni cultural tour will take alumni to the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre, where they will learn about the origins and cultural significance of the Fire Dragon Dance through a guided tour🏰; experience the traditional craftsmanship by taking part in a straw dragonhead-making workshop🪡; and walk through the Tai Hang neighbourhood to get a close glimpse of key historic buildings in the district👣 Don’t miss out!
