❓🌟 Miért döntöttél úgy, hogy belevágsz a TDK-ba, és mi volt számodra a legnagyobb hozzáadott értéke? 💬 „Alapképzés alatt megtanultam, hogy szakdolgozatot nem lehet egyik pillanatról a másikra megírni, ezért mesterképzésen már tudatosan úgy álltam hozzá, hogy amint jön egy jó ötlet, szeretném minél hamarabb elkezdeni. Már a második félévem előtt felkerestem a konzulensemet az ötletemmel, mert nagyon érdekelt a téma, és kíváncsi voltam, lehetne-e ebből TDK dolgozatot írni. A fő motivációm az volt, hogy legyen egy fix határidő, amihez tudom tartani magam. Szóba sem jöhetett, hogy olyan dolgozatot írjak, amit később ne tudnék szakdolgozatként is felhasználni. Így lett egy támogató konzulensem Erdélyi Éva tanárnő személyében, egy konkrét időpont, ami egyszerre tűnt távolinak és mégis elég közelinek ahhoz, hogy összeszedjem magam, illetve egy erős motivációm arra, hogy végre nekiálljak ennek a feladatnak. A TDK által teljesen kiléptem a komfortzónámból. Elmélyedtem egy olyan témában, ami azóta is folyamatosan foglalkoztat, kapcsolatokat épít***em, jóval hamarabb elkészültem a szakdolgozatommal, és végül nemcsak a TDK-n, hanem az OTDK-n is első helyezést értem el.”
❓📈 Miben fejlődtél a TDK során? Tudsz konkrét példát mondani? 💬 „Talán a prezentációs készségem fejlődött a legtöbbet. Sokkal lazább és magabiztosabb lettem előadás közben. Alapképzésen a szakdolgozat-védésemet úgy adtam elő, hogy szóról szóra betanultam a szövegemet, annyira izgultam. Ehhez képest a TDK-t angolul, majd az OTDK-t magyarul úgy adtam elő, hogy nem volt két olyan gyakorlás, amikor ugyanazt mondtam volna. Improvizáltam, tudtam miről beszélek, és magabiztosan tudtam képviselni a témámat. Azt sem gondoltam volna korábban, hogy ennyire bele tudok mélyedni egy kutatásba. Az íráskészségem és az angoltudásom is sokat fejlődött, de talán a gondolkodásmódom változott a legtöbbet. Megtanultam, hogy egy témát mennyi oldalról meg lehet közelíteni, és hogy nem szabad túl szűk látókörűen gondolkodni. Rengeteg összefüggést lehet találni különböző témák között, csak engedni kell egy kicsit szabadon gondolkodni magunkat.”
❓🤝 Milyen élmény volt a közös munka a konzulenssel és a TDK közösséggel? Mi t***e ezt különlegessé? 💬 „A közös munka a konzulensemmel nagyon sokat adott nekem. Erdélyi Éva a legjobb konzulens, akit valaha ismertem. Mindenben támogatott, hagyta, hogy kibontakozzak és saját ötleteim legyenek, ugyanakkor ha elakadtam, mindig azonnal segített. A saját tapasztalatával és tudásával rengeteget hozzátett a dolgozat sikeréhez. Volt, hogy késő este is válaszolt a kérdéseimre, és pontosan tudta, mennyire izgulok az előadások előtt, de mindig megnyugtatott és végig hitt bennem. Az OTDK-ra úgy kísért el, hogy közben a saját órarendjét és feladatait háttérbe szorította, csak azért, hogy ott legyen mellettem és támogasson. A TDK közössége is nagyon motiváló. Aki részt vesz ebben, szerintem már önmagában nyertes, mert hatalmas munkát és energiát tesz bele. Érezhető volt, hogy mindenkit hajt a fejlődés és a siker iránti vágy.”

❓🌟 Why did you decide to participate in TDK, and what was its greatest added value for you? 💬 “During my bachelor's studies, I learned that a thesis cannot be written overnight. Therefore, when I started my master's programme, I consciously decided that as soon as I had a good idea, I wanted to start working on it as early as possible. Even before my second semester began, I approached my supervisor with my research idea because I was genuinely interested in the topic and curious whether it could become a TDK paper. My main motivation was to have a fixed deadline that would help me stay on track. Writing a paper that I could not later use as my thesis was never an option. As a result, I found a supportive supervisor in Éva Erdélyi, had a specific deadline that felt both distant and close enough to keep me focused, and gained strong motivation to finally get started on this challenge. Through TDK, I completely stepped out of my comfort zone. I immersed myself in a topic that continues to inspire and engage me to this day, built valuable professional connections, completed my thesis much earlier than most of my peers, and ultimately achieved first place not only at the TDK Conference but also at the National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (OTDK).”
❓📈 In what ways did you develop during TDK? Can you give a specific example? 💬 “Perhaps the skill that developed the most was my presentation ability. I became much more relaxed and confident when presenting. During my bachelor's studies, I delivered my thesis defense having memorized my presentation word for word because I was so nervous. In contrast, I presented my TDK paper in English and my OTDK presentation in Hungarian without ever giving exactly the same presentation twice during practice. I improvised, I knew my topic thoroughly, and I was able to present and defend it with confidence. I also never would have thought that I could become so deeply immersed in a research topic. My academic writing skills and English proficiency improved significantly, but perhaps the greatest change was in my way of thinking. I learned how many different perspectives can be applied to a single topic and that it is important not to approach issues too narrowly. There are countless connections to be discovered between different topics—you simply need to allow yourself the freedom to think more openly and creatively.”
❓🤝 What was it like working together with your supervisor and the TDK community? What made it special? 💬 “Working with my supervisor gave me an incredible amount throughout this journey. Éva Erdélyi is the best supervisor I have ever had. She supported me in every possible way, encouraged me to develop my own ideas, and gave me the freedom to grow, while always being there whenever I needed guidance. Her experience and expertise contributed enormously to the success of my paper. There were times when she responded to my questions late in the evening, and she always understood how nervous I was before presentations. Yet she consistently reassured me and never stopped believing in me. When it came to OTDK, she accompanied me despite having to put aside parts of her own schedule and responsibilities, simply to be there and support me. The TDK community itself was also highly motivating. In my opinion, everyone who takes part is already a winner because of the tremendous amount of work, dedication, and energy they invest in the process. It was inspiring to be surrounded by people who were all driven by a desire to learn, improve, and succeed.”
