📚 The Faces of Bárczi
In this installment of our series, we once again offer a glimpse into the daily life and personal motivations of one of our instructors. This time, Ervin Pál Kapitány, an instructor at Institute for General Theory of Special Needs Education, answers our questions.
"The brush in my hand is not just a tool, but a passport: it takes me wherever my imagination wants to go. Sometimes I feel that it is not me who is painting, but the canvas asking me to give it a little life." 🎨

The graphic appears on a beige background with burgundy and dark blue circular decorative elements. The inscription "ELTE | BGGYK" appears in the upper right corner.
In the center is a slightly tilted photo in a white frame. There is a collage of five images and one photo, separated by white frames. The images are a combination of paintings and photographs taken during the creative process, all related to painting.
The upper left image shows a ballerina in a light-colored dress, bending down in front of a theatrical, brownish-pink background. The painting on the right, in portrait format, shows a figure wearing a dark hat, sitting or resting, painted with powerful, expressive brushstrokes in brownish-black tones.
The lower left section shows a landscape painting: a large leafy tree stands in a green field against a blue sky and white clouds, with a few red flowers in the grass. In the center is a photograph of a man sitting in front of an easel, painting; several canvases and painting tools can be seen around him.
The lower, wide picture shows an orange-red sunset scene: in the center is the dark silhouette of a deer, behind it the setting sun, vegetation, and a few flying birds.
At the bottom of the picture, in a burgundy band, the words "Did you know about me?" are written in large white letters, with the name "Pál Ervin Kapitány" written in smaller letters below.
