🌍 Real corporate challenges, innovation, and sustainability all in one place – international university teams competed to showcase their knowledge
The first international Anthropocene Case Study Competition, jointly organized by the University of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Bonafarm Group, has successfully concluded. During the three-day event, international 🛫 and Hungarian 🇭🇺 student teams competed to determine who could deliver the best solutions to real-world agri-food industry and sustainability challenges.
The three-round challenge attracted significant international interest:
📌 28 countries
📌 39 institutions
📌 a total of 60 submissions received
Following the two online rounds, 13 teams advanced to the final, hosted at MATE’s Gödöllő campus, where finalists presented their solutions in person to the professional jury.
All participating teams demonstrated outstanding creativity, professional expertise, and an innovative mindset in addressing the case study. At the final round of the Case Competition held in the Aula of MATE, Zoltán Kovács, Vice-Rector for Science and International Affairs at MATE, and István Barok, Director of Strategic Business Development at the Bonafarm Group, shared their celebratory thoughts with the audience.
In the end, the team from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague claimed first place. 🏆
