On February 15, 2025, we attended an English conversation workshop organized by Bahasa Basudara. The workshop was a collaboration with RELO Jakarta and hosted by Melanie Gobert. The event was attended by participants who came with the aim of deepening their communication skills in English and sharing experiences related to the use of language in everyday life.
Through interactive and practical sessions, we not only learned about effective conversation techniques, but also had the opportunity to broaden our horizons about English-speaking cultures. The workshop also provided space for us to hone our speaking and listening skills with various real-life scenario-based exercises.
We are very grateful to Melanie Gobert, who dedicatedly guided us throughout the session and provided valuable insights into learning English. Last but not least, our gratitude also goes to the Bahasa Basudara team and RELO Jakarta who have played a major role in the success of this event, as well as all the participants who eagerly followed each session with enthusiasm.
Hopefully this workshop can be the first step in building better English skills among the community, as well as strengthening intercultural relations in Ambon and Indonesia as a whole.
