One thing about short humanitarian missions, the impact may sometimes be felt as minor and sometimes may even seem undetectable, but the experience and memories made...are so precious and undoubtedly be treasured forever. Nevertheless, we can assure you the quality of aid that we have provided, and the number of smiles we have received =)

Lombok will always be in our prayers and we wish her the best to rebuild and be stronger.

Today marks our third and last humanitarian visit, and it was to Rumah Peduli Anak.
Firstly, we carried out research data collection for the research entitled, “Assessment of Mental Health and Quality of Life (QoL) among Adolescents Post-Earthquake in Lombok, Indonesia”. Then, an interactive Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) was done with the children at the foundation’s centre. The children managed to master the session in no time! Then, mini games were held for a fun and memorable time spent with the children.
After lunch, a psychosocial first aid session was held with the children. The children managed to deliver their post-earthquake fears and thoughts through drawn depictions. We sincerely thank Peduli Anak Foundation for being willing to let us have this opportunity to explore the emotions of the children.
Nevertheless, thank you for being so kind and helpful in making this mission a success!

In the evening, a post-mortem session was done among the committee members back at our accommodation. The committee was dismissed and that marked the end of our programme!

Today marks our second humanitarian visit, and it was to Negeri Kayangan of North Lombok.
We first arrived at SMA1, Negeri Kayangan for research data collection for the research entitled, “Resilience and Trauma-related Thoughts and Beliefs as Indicators of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms among Adolescents Post Earthquake Indonesia”. On the mean time, another small group went to the area most badly affected by previous earthquakes - Kampong Kayangan. Door to door visit was done to spread news on the health checkup and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) session that were held later in the afternoon.
After lunch, we all gathered once again at the public hall of Kampong Kayangan to set up the later session. The response was overwhelming and we had around 150 villagers that joined us. They welcomed our presence with so much warmth! The session went well and 50 Efinity EZ Water Filters were distributed to the villagers along with 50 goodie bags.

Today carves a much more meaningful day as we were able to witness the ruins of the recent earthquakes here. Many have lost their loved ones, yet they radiate much perseverance and inspiration.

We have distributed the sponsored biscuits to the earthquake victims from Negeri Kayangan, North Lombok. (Negeri Kayangan suffered terrible damage from the previous earthquakes.)

Greetings!

We would like to make a grand appreciation post to Efinity Social Enterprise for their wonderful invention!

59 Efinity EZ Water Filter (WM-EZ) sets were given to the villagers of Kampong Kayangan, at North Lombok. The village was badly affected from the recent earthquakes and clean water supply has been a huge concern since!
Thanks to this wonderful invention, their wellbeing is greatly improved.
