REPORT ON ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED UNDER THE 150th VANDE MATARAM CAMPAIGN

INTRODUCTION

As per the prescribed activity calendar for the celebration of the 150th Vande Mataram Campaign, a series of patriotic, educational, cultural, sports and community-participation activities were successfully conducted at PM SHRI Govt. High School Chakka, Zone Batote, District Ramban, from 09 August 2026 to 17 August 2026.

All activities were conducted systematically with the active participation of students, teaching staff, parents and members of the local community under the guidance and supervision of the Institution Nodal Officer, Sh. Parbhat Singh, Teacher.

DATE-WISE ACTIVITIES

09 August 2026 – Launch of Har Ghar Tiranga

The campaign was launched with campus decoration, National Pledge, patriotic songs and Tiranga awareness activities. Students and staff were sensitized regarding the significance and dignified display of the National Flag.

10 August 2026 – Patriotism Day

Essay writing, drawing/painting, quiz and speech competitions were conducted. Students enthusiastically participated and expressed their thoughts on patriotism, national unity and their responsibilities towards the nation.

11 August 2026 – Jan Bhagidari Day

A Tiranga Rally and Human Chain were organized with active participation of students, parents and community members. The activities promoted unity, patriotism and community participation.

12 August 2026 – Vande Mataram Day

Mass singing of Vande Mataram, cultural programmes and documentary screening were organized. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their patriotic spirit.

13 August 2026 – Tiranga Exhibition Day

A Tiranga Exhibition was organized comprising exhibitions, posters, Rangoli and Wall Magazine activities. Students showcased their creativity and highlighted the history and significance of the National Flag.

14 August 2026 – Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

A special assembly, documentary screening, exhibition and discussion/debate were conducted. A two-minute silence was observed in remembrance of the victims of Partition. Students were sensitized about the importance of peace, communal harmony and national unity.

15 August 2026 – Independence Day Celebration

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme included flag hoisting, National Anthem, Vande Mataram, parade, cultural activities, speeches, traditional games and Dangal.

The participation of students in cultural activities, speeches, traditional games and Dangal added great enthusiasm to the Independence Day celebrations and provided them with an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, confidence, sportsmanship and leadership qualities.

16 August 2026 – Community Participation Day

A Community Rally and Cycle Rally were organized. Plantation and cleanliness drives were also conducted with the active participation of students, staff and community members, promoting environmental responsibility and community ownership.

17 August 2026 – Closing Ceremony

The campaign concluded with a closing ceremony. Prize distribution, exhibition and final reporting were conducted. Students who performed well in different activities were appreciated and encouraged.

OVERALL OUTCOME

The entire 150th Vande Mataram Campaign was conducted successfully at PM SHRI Govt. High School Chakka with active participation from students, staff, parents and the community.

The activities successfully promoted patriotism, national integration, communal harmony, environmental awareness, sportsmanship, creativity, leadership and community participation among students.

The successful completion of all activities was made possible through the collective efforts of the school staff, students, parents and community members under the guidance and supervision of the Institution Nodal Officer, Sh. Parbhat Singh, Teacher.
During the Utsav celebration Mr. Varun Dev was performed as an Anchor of the program.

Under the Abhiyan of 150th Celebration of Vande Mataram

PM SHRI Government High School Chakka, Zone Batote, District Ramban, organised Community Participation Day on 16th August 2026 under the campaign commemorating the 150th Celebration of Vande Mataram. The programme was aimed at strengthening community participation, promoting patriotism, environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness and public spaces.
A Community Rally was organised with the active participation of students, teachers, parents and community members. The rally conveyed messages of patriotism, national unity, environmental protection and civic responsibility. Participants raised patriotic slogans and carried awareness messages related to the significance of Vande Mataram and the duties of responsible citizens.
As part of the programme, a Plantation Drive was also conducted in and around the school premises. Students, staff members and community participants planted saplings and pledged to protect and nurture them. The activity highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean, green and healthy environment.
A Cleanliness Drive was subsequently conducted on the school campus and surrounding areas. Students, teachers and community members actively participated in cleaning the premises and spreading awareness about sanitation, waste management and keeping the surroundings clean.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the school community and local residents. The activities successfully promoted the spirit of Jan Bhagidari, patriotism, environmental responsibility and community cooperation, while reinforcing the message that national development begins with active and responsible participation at the local level.

Occasion: 80th Independence Day Celebration
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and community participation at PM SHRI Govt. High School Chakka, Zone Batote, District Ramban on 15th August 2026.
The programme was graced by Ex-Captain Pritem Singh as the Guest of Honour, while Sh. Romesh Kumar, Head of Institution (HOI), was the Chief Guest. The celebration witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of community members, parents, students and staff, reflecting a strong sense of unity and patriotism among the school and the local community.
The programme commenced in a dignified manner with the celebration of the national spirit and patriotic fervour. Students presented a variety of cultural activities, including patriotic performances and songs. The students also sang patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of national pride and devotion.
The programme was anchored by Sh. Varun Dev, Teacher, who conducted the proceedings in an organised and engaging manner. Sh. Rangeel Singh, Teacher, delivered the Welcome Speech and warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, community members, parents, students and staff.
A special speech was delivered by Sh. Parbhat Singh, Teacher, highlighting the significance of Independence Day, the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities of citizens in strengthening the nation. The address also emphasised the importance of discipline, unity, patriotism and active participation of students in nation-building.
The presence of Ex-Captain Pritem Singh as Guest of Honour added special significance to the occasion and inspired the students and community members with a spirit of service, dedication and patriotism.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Sh. Romesh Kumar, Master/HOI, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guest, staff members, students, parents and the hundreds of community members for their valuable participation and cooperation in making the celebration successful.
The 80th Independence Day celebration was a memorable and successful event that strengthened the bond between the school and the community and instilled the values of patriotism, unity, responsibility and national pride among the students.

Overview
In solemn remembrance of the sacrifices, pain, and resilience of millions during the 1947 Partition of India, PM SHRI Govt High School, Chakka observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day with deep reverence. Under the guidance of school leadership and faculty, students actively participated in a series of reflective programs to honor the memory of those affected by the historic tragedy.
Key Activities & Highlights
Special Morning Assembly:
The observance commenced with a dedicated assembly setting a reflective tone for the day. Speakers highlighted the importance of remembering history, upholding national unity, and fostering peace and brotherhood.
Documentary Screening:
An educational documentary was screened for the students, shedding light on the historical context of Partition, the human suffering endured, and the extraordinary fortitude shown by uprooted families.
Historical Exhibition:
A curated photo and document exhibition was organized, depicting the archival records, stories of migration, and tragic events of 1947. Students walked through the display to gain a deeper understanding of the nation's past.
Debate & Discussion Session:
Students engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on the lessons learned from Partition, emphasizing the vital role of empathy, social harmony, and constitutional values in preserving national integrity.
Two-Minute Silence & Tribute:
The school community gathered to observe a two-minute silence to pay homage to the victims. Prayers were offered in solemn remembrance of the lives lost and disrupted during the division.
