RAMBAN (BATOTE), MAY 16, 2026: As part of the ongoing intensive 100-day anti-drug campaign under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) banner, a vibrant session centering on wellness and behavioral awareness was successfully conducted today at PM Shri Government High School, Chakka, located in the Batote Zone of Ramban district.
The day’s itinerary featured a specialized "Yoga and Focused Activities Group discussion" session specifically designed to cultivate mental resilience, physical fitness, and mindfulness among the youth—aligning with the core mission of the NMBA to shield the younger generation from the menace of substance abuse.
The entire event was meticulously organized courtesy of the Headmaster, PM Shri Government High School, Chakka.
Addressing the gathering, the school administration and faculty members emphasized the critical importance of incorporating healthy lifestyle habits, like yoga, to build mental fortitude against negative peer pressure and addictive behaviors. Through targeted, interactive engagement, students were educated on the physical and psychological hazards of drug abuse, and were encouraged to channel their energy into sports, creative arts, and academic excellence.
The ongoing 100-day campaign by the Jammu & Kashmir UT administration has been aggressively gaining momentum across the region. Today's collaborative efforts at the grassroots institutional level underscore the local administration's resolve to transform the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan into a true Jan Andolan (mass movement), ensuring a healthier, secure, and drug-free future for the students of Ramban.
