This page is about events and news affiliated with the UCD Centre for Canadian Studies, both in Ireland and abroad. Traditionally, the Centre has aimed to foster its objectives related to research, culture, and teaching by bringing together a range of Canadian Studies expertise across the UCD College of Arts Humanities through seminars, conferences and research networking. The Centre also acts as

a focal point for the visiting UCD Craig Dobbin Chair in Canadian Studies. The Centre is, first and foremost, interdisciplinary in its focus, which is reflected in its membership, lectures series, and future plans. Developing further interdisciplinary research and teaching is a key aspect of the Centre’s strategic aims and mission. This interdisciplinary focus is complemented by the annual appointment of the UCD Craig Dobbin Chair of Canadian Studies, with appointees coming from a wide range of disciplines in Canadian universities.
