Carolan Lab

Carolan Lab This page is part of an initiative and help of all lab members to increase our contribution to science communication.

This page is dedicated to the Applied Proteomics Laboratory based in the Maynooth University- Ireland, and lead by Dr Jim Carolan. The Lab uses quantitative proteomics to study the interactions within and between an array of living organisms. Current research themes include work on economically important plant pests and pollinators putting us into the world of Environmental Proteomics. Plug in for more updates related to our research, our lab and science in general.

Just want to say a massive congratulations to Dearbhlaith Larkin on passing her viva last week. Derv is the first PhD Candidate to graduate from our Lab at Maynooth University. It's been a blast working with you. Thanks also to Dr. Thomae Kakouli-Duarte (IT Carlow) and Dr Paul Dowling (MU) for being fair but very thorough examiners. Derv was an MU Hume Scholar that transferred to Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholarship and did some fantastic work characterising bumblebee immuno-metabolic systems. .
