Big news. 🎤

I'm delivering the opening keynote at Knowledge Summit Dublin on June 29th! That's just under two months away!

The topic? How the brain actually learns - and what that means for the way we design training, lead teams, and build cultures of real growth.

If you work in L&D, HR, leadership, or just care deeply about how people perform at their best - this one's for you.

Knowledge Summit Dublin brings together some of the sharpest minds in workplace learning from across Europe. I'm genuinely honoured to be opening the show.

And Sierra from the KSD team has given me a speaker discount code to share - 30% off for up to three people.

I held a 2-part online seminar for teenagers with dyslexia in junior cycle (1st-3rd yr) here in Ireland.
It was immensely satisfying to receive the messages of support and thanks over the last week or so.
This came through this morning and just hit a nerve with me, a good one 😃, one that made me sit back and feel levels of satisfaction that are rare but golden.
Sitting, smiling, satisfied and motivated to continue the journey of trying to "leave a legacy of optimal learning"

The Mocks are over. Take a breath.

For most students across Ireland, yesterday marked the end of two weeks of intense pressure.

The pens are down, the exam halls are empty, and the "Big Exhale" has finally arrived at the kitchen table.

As The Study Coach, my advice for parents and students this weekend is simple: Do nothing. Before we start talking about June, everyone needs a moment to reset.

Here is my "Post-Mock" advice for the next 48 hours:

For Parents: Give them the "30-Minute Decompression" rule. When they want to talk about the exams, listen. When they don’t, give them the space to just be a teenager again for a few days.

For Students: Your results are not a reflection of your worth; they are data points. A disappointing mark today isn’t a failure - it’s a GPS coordinate showing us exactly where the "leaks" are in your system so we can fix them before June 3rd.

The Mid-Term Reset

There are just over 15 weeks until the State Exams begin. That is plenty of time to turn things around, provided you have a roadmap.

I’m spending the first three evenings of this mid-term break (Monday, Feb 16th – Wednesday, Feb 18th) running my Student Success Bootcamps live online.

We aren't doing "more school" - we are installing a high-performance system.

I use what we know about the brain to help optimse our time, energy and focus instead of worrying, procrastinating and falling further behing.

Monday: The 80/20 Audit (Finding the marks that matter).
Tuesday: Active Recall & The Memory Palace (Hard-wiring information).
Wednesday: AI Layering & The 15-Week Roadmap.

If you want to move from "panic" to "performance" before school goes back, you can grab a spot below:

Enjoy the peace and quiet this weekend. You’ve earned it.

Is your son or daughter currently going through the Mocks?

Right now, stress levels at the kitchen table are likely high.

Students are coming home exhausted, and many parents are worried that a "bad" result now means failure in June.

It doesn’t.

In my work as The Study Coach, I help students realise that there is no such thing as failure—there is only data.

The Mocks are actually a diagnostic tool to find exactly where the "leaks" are in their study system.

I’ve put together a free 3-step guide for parents to help their teenagers reframe the Mocks and build a sustainable 15-week roadmap for the State Exams.

Inside the free PDF:
* The 5-Minute Audit: How to categorise why marks were actually lost.
* The 80/20 Rule: How to focus on the 20% of the course that gets 80% of the marks.
* Active Recall Secrets: Why re-reading notes is a waste of time
