We were delighted to engage with one of our distinguished alumni, Mr. Vishesh Sahgal, holding a leadership role in one of the most renowned restaurant chains, Mezcalita, in Mumbai, as a part of experiential learning for the module MHO (Management of Hospitality Organizations) taught by Dr. Saurabh Krishna at year two level for the hotel management cohort.

The interaction was truly enriching, as Mr. Sahgal shared deep insights into the hospitality and restaurant industry covering operational management, customer retention, innovation, and the challenges of scaling a food business. His experiences offered our students a valuable real-world perspective on how classroom concepts translate into entrepreneurial success.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sahgal for his time, guidance, and for graciously hosting us for a wonderful meal and engaging discussion.

Success leaves clues—and Chef Jason Ronnie Galbao is proof of what passion, skill, and the right foundation can do.

An alumnus of IHM-Aurangabad, Batch of 2015, Jason has carved a remarkable path across the global culinary landscape.

Today, he is the Executive Chef at The St. Regis, Washington, D.C.

Before this, he led as
✅ Executive Chef of Banquet Operations at Ga***rd National Resort & Convention Center for over 2 years
Assistant Director of Culinary at Hotel Arts Barcelona for 1.5 years

And yes—he made it to Forbes 30 Under 30 - Europe - Art & Culture in 2021.

With close to two decades of industry experience, Niket’s journey is a masterclass in growth, determination, and global leadership across hospitality giants like Accor and Marriott International.

At Accor, he led topline performance across Sales, Revenue, Distribution, and Loyalty, delivering standout results as the Regional Director, and at Marriott, he helped shape revenue strategy across North India, taking on multiple leadership roles along the way.

Abhay Bishnoi, a commercial leader, an alumnus of IHM-Aurangabad, has carved an inspiring path in the world of hospitality!

With over 14 years of experience, he’s worked across 6 countries and 2 continents, representing world-class brands like Taj and Jumeirah. Today, he heads revenue management for three luxury Jumeirah properties in Dubai, including the famous Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

His dedication earned him a nomination for the Hotelier Middle East Award – Revenue Management Person of the Year 2022 and Winner of the Inaugural Young Hoteliers Summit 2010. His journey is proof that hard work and passion can take you around the world.

They say life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans—and Jai Tandon’s story is proof of that!

At IHM-Aurangabad, we believe in nurturing talent that not only shapes the hospitality industry but also transforms lives. Meet Jai Tandon, an alumnus whose journey is a testament to perseverance, passion, and excellence.

Starting as a semi-professional basketball player, Jai joined IHM-A with a different dream. But it was here, with the guidance of expert faculty, driven batchmates, and encouragement from his family, that his culinary aspirations were born.

Fast forward to today, Jai is a Sous Chef at Musaafer, Houston—a restaurant that proudly earned a Michelin Star under his team's vision and creativity.

Jai’s journey includes milestones like:
✅ Becoming a Management Trainee at Taj (HOMT).
✅ Pre-opening hotels in Singapore, in Denmark, and in Mumbai.
✅ Representing Indian cuisine on the global stage, like Shanghai and New York.

As Jai gears up to lead Musaafer to new heights in New York, we’re reminded that at IHM-Aurangabad, every dream finds its stage, every talent its spotlight.
