A one-day awareness programme was successfully held at Town Hall Beerwah to promote disaster preparedness and public safety awareness among the youth and general public.

The programme was attended by Tehsildar Aaliya Tabasum Ji ,Naib Tehsildar Mr. Janbaz Tak, officials from the Disaster Response Force, officials of Fire and Emergency Services Beerwah and sports Activist Muzamil Mehmood.

Students from SAM College of Nursing and P-Medical Sciences actively participated in the programme. The session focused on disaster awareness, emergency response, basic safety measures, and the importance of community preparedness in dealing with natural and man-made disasters.

The NDRF team elaborated on practical measures such as evacuation techniques, basic first aid, and coordination with emergency services. An interactive session was also held, allowing students to engage directly with the officials and gain clarity on disaster management practices.

The programme concluded on a positive note, emphasizing the importance of awareness and preparedness in building a resilient society.

Syed Ali Memorial College Stands United Against Drug Abuse

In a strong show of commitment against the rising menace of drug abuse, Syed Ali Memorial College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences organized a pledge-taking ceremony as part of the Lt. Governor’s ongoing 100-day anti-drug campaign.

Director Dr. Murtuza Bukhari led the programme, administering the pledge and urging students to take an active role in combating substance abuse. A pledge was also taken by all participants, reaffirming their collective resolve to work towards a drug-free society.

The event was attended by social activist Muzamil Mehmood who stressed the need for sustained awareness and community participation in addressing the issue.

Students participated with enthusiasm, reflecting a united stand and a clear commitment to fight the drug menace through awareness, responsibility, and action.

Published under the academic initiative of Syed Ali Memorial College of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences, a practical record book publication titled “Practical Record Book of Child Health Nursing for BSc Nursing Students (as per latest INC syllabus)” has been authored by faculty members Ms. Suriya Ali and Mr. Irfan Gani Mir.

The publication is designed to strengthen clinical learning and documentation in child health nursing, in alignment with the latest INC syllabus, reflecting the institution’s commitment to quality education.
