MP govt to provide doorstep delivery of govt documents within 24 hours
The Madhya Pradesh government has launched MP Your Government At Your Door Scheme 2020. Under this Dwaar Praday Yojana – Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar Scheme, the state government will be delivering government services to residents at their house on a fixed charge. CM Kamal Nath has launched this service in the Indore city on a pilot basis at a function that was held at Hotel Marriott on 25 January 2020.

ADB to provide $4 million to member countries to contain coronavirus outbreak
Asian Development Bank will be providing a total of USD 4 million to help the developing countries in Asia and Pacific to fight the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). These funds will be available for all ADB developing member countries in updating and implementing their pandemic response plans.

New Explosive Detection Device developed by DRDO and IISc Bangalore:RalDer-X
RaIDer-X is a new explosive detection device, which was unveiled at the National Workshop on Explosive Detection (NWED-2020) in Pune on 1st March 2020. RaIDer-X has been co-developed by High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) Pune and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. It has the capability which can detect explosives from a stand-off distance.

19th World Productivity Congress to be held in Bangalore
World Productivity Congress, which is the world’s largest convention for productivity development, is back in India after a long gap of 45 years. The next would be the 19th edition of World Productivity Congress (WPC) which will be held on May 6 - May 8, 2020, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore.

1. Jadav Payeng will be conferred with the 2020 Swami Vivekananda Karmayogi Award
On 29 February, Jadav Payeng will be conferred with the Swami Vivekananda Karmayogi Award in New Delhi at a function that is instituted by My Home India.
Jadav Payeng is popularly known as the Forest Man of India. He was awarded the 6th Karmayogi Award, for his constant efforts in creating a real man-made forest through massive reforestation.

2. World Defence Day
The World Defence Day is celebrated on 1st March 2020. This day is observed to raise awareness of public protection from natural and technogenic disasters and rescue service work. The World Civil Defense Day was instituted by the International Civil Defense Organization General Assembly in 1990.

3. Zero Discrimination Day
Zero Discrimination Day is observed on 1st March. This day promotes diversity and recognizes each individual count. The United Nations celebrated Zero Discrimination Day on 1 March 2014, after UNAIDS.

4. Maharashtra is to become single-use plastic-free by May 1st
The Maharashtra State government is all set to become single-use plastic-free by 1 May 2020. The announcement was made by the State environment minister Aaditya Thackeray. The drive against single-use plastic has been taken against 53 manufacturers so far. All their units have been shut down.
