স্বাধীন ভারতের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মহাত্মা মোহনদাস করমচাঁদ গান্ধী একবার এক দর্শক সভায় এই মর্মে মন্তব্য পেশ করেন যে, "হযরত মোহাম্মদ (সঃ) ছিলেন একজন মহান নবী। তিনি যেমন সাহসী ছিলেন, তেমনি একমাত্র ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর কাউকে ভয় করতেন না। তাঁকে কখনই এক কথা বলে অন্য আরেক কাজ করতে দেখা যায়নি। তিনি যা ভাবতেন, তাই করতেন। তিনি ছিলেন ফকির। তিনি চাইলে বিশাল ধন-সম্পদের মালিক হতে পারতেন। তিনি ও তাঁর পরিবার-পরিজন যে কঠিন দারিদ্র্যের মধ্যে জীবন যাপন করে গেছেন, সে কাহিনী পাঠ করার সময় আমার চোখ অশ্রুপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠে। যার হৃদয় সব সময়ই অব্যাহত ভাবে ঈশ্বরে সমর্পিত, আমার মত একজন সত্যসন্ধানী মানুষ কিভাবে তাঁর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল না হয়ে পারে? মানুষের প্রতি তাঁর মমত্ববোধ এবং ঈশ্বরকে ভয়- এই দু'টি জিনিসই তাঁকে মহামানবে পরিণত করেছে। তাঁর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শন, তাঁর অমিয়বাণী শ্রবণ করা এবং বন্ধু ও অনুসারীদের প্রতি তাঁর দায়িত্ববোধকে অনুসরণ করা প্রতিটি মানুষেরই কর্তব্য।

আমার এ কথা বলতে কোন দ্বিধা নেই যে, আমি এ জগতে হযরত মোহাম্মদকে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ মানুষ বলে বিবেচনা করি এবং তাঁর নির্ভীকতা, সততাবোধ, মানব কল্যাণ ও মানুষের প্রতি মমত্ববোধের আদর্শ অনুসরণ করে নিজেকে পরিচালিত করতে সচেষ্ঠ হই। তিনি ছিলেন সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ধর্মীয় ও সমাজ সংস্কারক।"

"আমি দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসের সাথে বলছি যে, ইসলাম তরবারী দ্বারা প্রসার লাভ করেনি। বরং এর মূলে রয়েছে নবীর কঠোর সারল্য, দৃঢ় প্রত্যয়, সম্পূর্ণ আত্মবিলোপতা, চুক্তির প্রতি সযত্ন সম্মান, বন্ধুজন ও অনুসারীদের প্রতি তাঁর গভীর অনুরাগ, তাঁর নির্ভীকতা, নিজের ওপর অন্যকে প্রাধান্য দান এবং অপরাপর মহত্ গুণরাজি। তাঁর এ সমস্ত গুণই মানবাত্মাকে বশীভূত করেছে। পুরোহিত প্রথা আর নয়। নবী মোহাম্মদ অনতিবিলম্বে ভেঙ্গে দিলেন পুরোহিত প্রথার যাদু।"

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is said to visit Kolkata in 9th April 2013 to attend a felicitation programme organised by the age-old Merchant Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), the women's wing of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, along with other leading industrial and trading organisations. It was learnt that a leading businesswoman from Kolkata was coordinating the event.
Gujarat is developed and growing state than West Bengal.Gujarat has a 5 Years CAGR of 9.34 percent. The state has 8th rank , one of the fastest growing economies in the country as listed by rediff.com. Gujarat was a developed state before Modi also.
Does Modi interested about the development especially industry ? Is this visit will be helpful for West Bengal? We know that Nano factory had been shifted to Sananda , Gujarat from Singur, West Bengal due to political disturbances..I­t was very sad and unfortunate for West Bengal. Narendra Modi ,CM of Gujarat fell very happy for it. Modi never interested about the development of West Bengal. He never help West Bengal in any development. Modi is interested only dirty poisonous communal politics and he want to introduce dirty communal politics in West Bengal by the help of his some blind communal supporters. They have been creating and publishing development propaganda history of Gujarat in such a way that Gujarat is the most no 1 development state and Modi can do magical dream development for West Bengal.
What are the real face of Narendra Modi ? Narendra modi ,CM of Gujarat is trying to hide real face behind the propaganda development of Gujarat and propaganda nationalism of India. He is trying to established that he is only key maker of Gujarat with a desire of future PM of India. Only base are fake Hinduism theory ,disgusting premodern biased stereotype Hindu Rastra theory. His only view is to catch the power in state and his carrier with high dictatorship ambitions,He uses media very tactfully systematically and repeatedly liar publicity . His supporters RSS ,Bajrang dal, BJP and his associated are very expert to create propaganda and selling dream to the youth and common peoples of Gujarat as well as India, Modi become successful about this type propaganda publicity. It is true that there are some new industries added in Gujarat. But this is not only criteria of development. I mean total aspects should be noted. What he did in others aspects of social developments. If we discussed the others we will definitely see the reality of Gujarat and also real characters and attitude of his parties and Government.
What about the conditions of labour groups, dalits, minorities, farmers, children,women ,SC,ST, OBC etc.
What about the hunger index ,law and orders situations, social justice and human rights?
Modi and his Government are accused corruption. What about the democracy ,freedom of speech and secular attitude?
Every aspects Modi and his Government become failure. In certain cases their attitude are criminal.
In every aspects Modi and his parties are not interested to do something positive towards needy and social discrimination.­ Human resource development and socio-cultural improvements, social harmony have been neglected. This Government only for some few corporate peoples ,industry , few rich class and businessman only.
Thanks Modi and politics,thanks­ incredible Gujarat dirty corrupted politics. Politics for Propaganda, Politics for illiteracy ,Politics for muscles money media, politics for cheap inhumanity communal politics!
Create confusion among the peoples by propaganda and polarization by communal riots.Gujarat is a field of Hindutva laboratory, killing the minorities especially Muslims ,a dream place of RSS and development is the fake face.

Peerzada Toha Siddique, the
director of Furfura Darbar Sharif
in Hooghly.
Siddique was addressing a
meeting of madarsa students on
Rani Rashmoni Avenue, where he
demanded that the government
provide 20 per cent reservation
for minorities in government
jobs, order a CBI investigation
into Waqf scams and set up
health infrastructure in minority-
dominated areas.
This is the first time a leader
belonging to the minority
community, which formed the
backbone of Mamata’s sweeping
victory in May 2011, has openly
questioned the claims the chief
minister has been making at
government programmes across
the state.
The mazaar (pilgrimage spot) in
Hooghly wields considerable
influence among Bengali-
speaking Muslims, who
constitute around 95 per cent of
the state’s 30 per cent minority
population.
Siddique — respectfully
addressed as huzoor by his
followers — was a familiar face
at most programmes of Mamata
while she was the railway
minister and in the initial months
after she became chief minister.
Today, in a veiled warning,
Siddique said: “We managed to
uproot the Left Front despite
their 34-year run in the
government. It will be
comparatively easy to uproot the
Trinamul government after five
years.”
Giasuddin Molla, the minister of
state in the minorities affairs
department, expressed sadness
but did not concur with Siddique.
“I am sad to hear that Toha
saheb feels this way… But we in
the government are confident
that the minority department has
delivered on cent per cent of its
promises,” Molla said.
An official of the minorities
department, which comes
directly under Mamata,
corroborated Siddique’s
conclusion that a lot of work was
far from finished.
“The chief minister had said that
scams relating to Waqf
properties would be investigated
by the CBI. A list of 16 properties
was sent but it was not followed
up. The work on the railway line
between Dankuni and Furfura is
in limbo. Any substantial work on
the new Aliah University campus
and Haj House in New Town is
yet to start,” said the senior
official.
