(Farewell cm Fresher’s Party)
The Malwa College Bathinda, Department of Computer Science & Applications organized “Jashan-2K26”, a grand Farewell cm Fresher’s Party for the students of MCA, M.Sc. IT, PGDCA, and BCA. The event turned into a vibrant celebration filled with energy, entertainment, and emotional moments for both outgoing and newly admitted students.
The occasion was graced by Dr. Manjit Singh as the Chief Guest. Deputy Director Dr. Sarbjeet Kaur Dhillon extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and highlighted the remarkable achievements of the department. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Students of the department presented a spectacular cultural extravaganza featuring music, dance, ramp walk, and several entertaining performances that captivated the audience. Both first-year and final-year students participated enthusiastically, making the celebration memorable for everyone present. The students of BCA Final Year specially dedicated songs to the faculty members, adding an emotional touch to the event. This segment of the programme was gracefully anchored by Ms. Sheetal and Ms. Priya of BCA Final Year.
Fresher’s Segment
• Mr. Veersukhmander Singh (BCA 1st Year) and Mr. Lakhveer Singh (PGDCA 1st Year) earned the title of Mr. Fresher whereas Ms. Komalpreet Kaur (BCA 1st Year) was crowned Ms Fresher-2026
Farewell Segment
• In UG category Mr. Harbhajan Singh (BCA Final Year) was honoured with the title of Mr. Farewell.
• The title of Ms. Farewell was jointly bagged by Ms. Rajveer Kaur and Ms. Sheetal from BCA Final Year.
• In the PG segment, Mr. Amarjot Singh (M.Sc. IT LE) and Ms. Jasmeen Kaur (MCA Final Year) were crowned Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell 2026, respectively.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Director Dr. Sarbjeet Kaur Dhillon motivated the students to work diligently and aim for greater success in life. Winners of various competitions organized during the event were awarded prizes in recognition of their talent and participation.
The event was skilfully anchored by Ms. Tanisha and Mr. Krish Kumar, students of the BCA programme. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, making “Jashan-2K26” a truly memorable occasion for the Department of Computer Science & Applications.
