GATE Exam Awareness Session at AITM !!

Angadi Institute of Technology & Management (AITM), Belagavi, successfully organized a GATE Exam Awareness Session on 8th September 2026 for the 3rd and 4th year engineering students, conducted by experts from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the GATE examination pattern, eligibility, preparation strategies, important subjects, time management, and career opportunities associated with GATE. The resource persons highlighted the significance of GATE scores for higher education, research opportunities, postgraduate studies, and career pathways in premier institutions and organizations.

The interactive session encouraged students to strengthen their conceptual understanding, adopt effective preparation strategies, and explore GATE as an important pathway towards academic and professional growth. Students actively participated in the session and clarified their queries with the experts.

The session was coordinated by Prof. Vishalkirthi Patil, Training & Placement Officer (TPO), AITM, and Mr. Omkar Patil, Placement Assistant, AITM.

AI & Data Science Students Gain Practical Exposure to AR & VR at VTU Centre of Excellence

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Angadi Institute of Technology & Management (AITM), Belagavi, organized an educational visit for its 3rd and 5th Semester students to the Centre of Excellence for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, on September 17, 2026.

A total of 71 students participated in the visit, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Chetan S. Patil and Mr. Bhushan Aptekar. The visit was organized with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to emerging technologies, particularly Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and immersive technologies.

The technical session was conducted by Mr. Rameshkumar, who introduced the students to the fundamental concepts of AR and VR and explained their applications across diverse domains. He highlighted the growing significance of immersive technologies in engineering, education, healthcare, industry, gaming, simulation and other sectors.

As part of the visit, the students also explored the AR and VR laboratory facilities at the Centre of Excellence and gained insights into the implementation of these technologies in real-world applications. The interactive session enabled students to connect their classroom learning with emerging technological advancements and encouraged them to think about innovative applications and project ideas.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science expressed its sincere gratitude to the VTU Centre of Excellence for AR & VR and Mr. Rameshkumar for providing the students with an informative and engaging learning experience.

Management, Principal & Director, Dean, HoD, faculty members and students of AITM appreciated the initiative and the efforts taken towards providing students with industry-relevant and experiential learning opportunities.
