Rahul College of Education, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, offers B.Ed Program & Cambridge International Professional Development Qualifications focusing on holistic teacher training through modern facilities and innovative pedagogy. We all recognize that the world economy has become increasingly knowledge-based and technology-driven. National development depends on the capacity of human resources and education is the key to human capacity building. Education is an important element to assist people in coping with the new challenges of the contemporary society. Therefore, quality and relevance of teacher education play an important role in educational development. I am confident that many institutions have been attempting to enhance their quality of education through different methods. As for RCER, our core strategies in education development include creating educational opportunities, developing management and learning quality and raising educational standard and increasing national competitive capability. In the area of teacher education, we focus four highlighted issues namely: learning reform for knowledge-based livelihood; strengthening capacity of teachers; strengthening management system for quality learning; and resources management education. I would like to express my appreciation to the effort of RCER and wish success in all of its deliberations.

Teacher's Day Celebration | Rahul College of Education

Rahul College of Education (Autonomous) celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2026 with warmth, gratitude, and enthusiasm. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana, followed by a Thought for the Day and a paper reading highlighting the significance of Teacher’s Day and the teaching profession. A special video presentation also showcased the inspiring role of teachers.

The celebration continued with the Legacy Moment, Gratitude Ceremony, and Memory Capsule, where students shared heartfelt memories, appreciation, and reflections. Through their words and expressions, students honoured the teachers who guide, inspire, mentor, and support them. The celebration beautifully strengthened the bond between teachers and students.

The Cultural Committee of Rahul Education, in collaboration with Rahul College of Education, organized Teacher’s Day Celebration on Friday, 4th September 2026, from 2:00 p.m. onwards at the Seminar Hall, Shree L.R. Tiwari Educational Campus, Mira Road (E). The programme was graced by the Joint Secretary Smt. Krishna Tiwari of Rahul Education Society as the Guest of Honour.

The celebration was dedicated to honouring mentors and inspiring the future teachers. The programme provided a meaningful platform to acknowledge the dedication, passion, and invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping young minds and nurturing future generations.

A fun-filled activities was organised by the Cultural Committee of Rahul Education. This included games, singing and dancing to enable teachers of Higher Education to have a relaxing and memorable day.The presence and encouraging words of Joint Secretary Shri Krishna Tiwari added significance to the celebration and motivated the teaching fraternity to continue working towards excellence in education.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt ‘Vote of Thanks' by the Cultural Head , leaving everyone with a renewed sense of gratitude and respect for the teaching profession. The celebration beautifully reinforced the values, gratitude, dedication, mentorship, and lifelong learning.

Rahul College of Education proudly celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. Organised by the IQAC in collaboration with the Cultural Committee and Student Council, the celebration began with the National Flag Hoisting, National Anthem, and a pledge for a Drug-Free India. The soulful rendition of Vande Mataram further filled the campus with pride and patriotism.

The celebration featured patriotic songs, dances, multilingual speeches, and a powerful Drug-Free India Skit highlighting the impact of substance abuse and the responsibility of youth in building a healthier society. Students, faculty, staff, and management representatives came together to reaffirm their commitment to freedom, unity, service, and responsible nation-building, concluding the celebration with a renewed vision for a stronger and drug-free India.

Drug Free Mumbai Awareness Programme at Rahul College of Education was conducted on 30th July 2026 in alignment with the University of Mumbai’s initiative to support the Government of Maharashtra’s vision of a drug-free society. The session sensitised faculty members and student teachers to the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged them to become responsible citizens and advocates of healthy living.

The programme introduced the theme “Lead the Generation That Says No to Drugs” and shared information about the official campaign portal and helpline. A Drug-Free Mumbai Pledge was also administered, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to spreading awareness and promoting a drug-free lifestyle. An interactive discussion further highlighted the importance of preventive education, community participation, and collective responsibility.

Fire Safety & Security Demonstration at Shree L. R. Tiwari Educational Campus, under the umbrella of Rahul Education, was organised on the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to strengthen awareness about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety measures. Experienced professionals from Mira-Bhayander Fire Services guided students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and other stakeholders through essential safety protocols and emergency procedures.

The practical session included demonstrations of Water, Foam, DCP, CO₂, and Clean Agent fire extinguishers, along with guidance on fire alarms, emergency exits, evacuation plans, and first-response techniques. Participants also received hands-on experience in handling fire extinguishers, followed by an interactive Q&A session. The initiative reinforced the importance of staying calm, following safety protocols, and building a culture of preparedness across the campus.

Under the aegis of Rahul Education, Rahul College of Education organized “DASVIDANIYA 2026”, a grand farewell programme for the Second Year B.Ed. students on 11th May 2026. Planned by the IQAC, Cultural Committee, and Student Council, the event began with a warm welcome and an inspiring address by Principal Dr. Frances Vaidya, who encouraged the graduating students to confidently pursue their future aspirations.

The celebration featured exciting games, cultural performances, solo singing, and a vibrant ramp walk that showcased the students’ talents and creativity. Graduating students shared heartfelt memories and gratitude towards the institution, faculty, and peers. The programme also included certificate distribution and concluded with a vote of thanks, making it a memorable occasion filled with joy, appreciation, and lasting friendships.

Under the aegis of Rahul Education, Shree L.R. Tiwari Law College and Rahul College of Education jointly organized the Convocation Ceremony to celebrate the academic achievements and successful completion of studies by graduating students. Rahul College of Education celebrated its 19th Convocation. The ceremony reflected the institution’s dedication to academic excellence, holistic development, and value-based education.

The main objectives of the convocation were to confer degrees, motivate students towards excellence, inspire them for future professional endeavors, and strengthen parent-teacher-management collaboration.

Degrees were conferred upon the graduating students in recognition of their hard work and academic success.

Dr. Frances Vaidya, Principal of Rahul College of Education, concluded the convocation ceremony by congratulating the graduates and encouraging them to uphold the values of dedication, compassion, and excellence. The ceremony was a proud and emotional moment for students and their families. Graduates expressed gratitude towards their teachers and institution for shaping their careers. The event fostered a sense of achievement and belonging among the students.
