DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series was organized by Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal. The event commenced with a formal inauguration graced by the presences of Chief Guest, Dr. Rajnarayan R. Tiwari Sir, Director, ICMR–National Institute for Research in Environmental Health (NIREH), Bhopal, Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai Sir, Director of Administration, LNCT Group. Dr Yogesh Damodar Sabde Sir Scientist-G ICMR-NIREH and Dr. Deepti Jain ma'am Director SOPS RGPV,
Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain Sir, Director, LNCP, Bhopal, delivered the introductory remarks. He highlighted the objectives and importance of the lecture series in fostering academic growth and research orientation among students and faculty. Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai, Director of Administration, LNCT Group, congratulated LNCP for organizing this popular lecture series. Sir emphasized that students and faculty should derive maximum benefit from such academic initiatives.
Dr. Rajnarayan R.Tiwari Sir, Director, ICMR-NIREH, spoke about the benefits of such events in bridging scientific knowledge with societal health needs.
The lecture series featured sessions by eminent speakers:
1. Dr. Yogesh Damodar Sabde, Scientist G, ICMR-NIREH
Topic: "Environmental Health and Epidemiology: Linking Environmental Diseases and Population Health".
2. Dr. Deepti Jain, Director, SOPS, RGPV
Topic: "Exploring Modern Biology and Biotechnology: Basic Concepts, Recent Advancements, and Future Potential".
3. Dr. Gopal Patel, Professor, LNCP
Topic: Advancement of Biotechnology and Explanation of Nanotechnologies Microbes to Markets: Fermentation Technologies for Biofuel’s, Pharmaceuticals and the Circular Bioeconomy.
- More than 300 students across UG, PG, and PhD categories registered for the event.
- Poster presentations were organized as part of the series. A large number of students showcased their research ideas and creativity.
- Participants were awarded for Best Poster in different categories.
The DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain, Director, LNCP. The event saw enthusiastic participation and provided valuable exposure to emerging areas in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and environmental health.
