LNCP Signs Landmark MOU with Herb-Edge Laboratory, Ujjain to Boost Student Industry Readiness
On 11th May 2026.
– Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP) marked a key milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with M/s Herb-Edge Laboratory, Ujjain. This collaboration aims to enhance industry-institute ties, delivering holistic benefits to students in pharmaceutical and herbal sciences.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Nagesh Gupta, Director of Herb-Edge Laboratory, and Dr. Surendra kumar Jain, Director of LNCP. Both highlighted the critical need to connect academic learning with real-world industrial practices.
Key initiatives under the MOU include:
Industrial training and live projects for hands-on experience.
Guest lectures and collaborative research in pharmaceutical and herbal product development.
Curriculum enrichment and dedicated placement support to produce industry-ready graduates.

"QUALITY ASSURED, CAREER SECURED"

The one-day seminar "QUALITY ASSURED, CAREER SECURED" successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and industry expectations in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. Dr. S.K. Jain, Director of LNCP, in his inaugural address, emphasized the critical need for such career-oriented programs to secure students’ futures. He assured that the institute will continue this seminar series across different career options, keeping students’ industry-ready at all times.
Eminent In house speakers Dr. Nishi Prakash Jain, Dr. Abhishek Sharma and Ms. Richa Varma, delivered insightful sessions on career pathways, QA fundamentals, and global drug regulations. Students gained hands-on familiarity with critical guidelines (Schedule M, ICH, WHO-GMP, USFDA, EMA) and over 50 industry terminologies. Interactive discussions on interview preparation, salary benchmarks, and evolving regulatory landscapes boosted placement readiness. The seminar empowered B.Pharm graduates to confidently approach QA/RA roles, truly living up to its theme “Quality Assured, Career Secured”. The Internal Lecture Series held on 18 April was a highly informative and engaging academic session organized under the LNCP Expert initiative. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Shiva Kant Shukla, who brought deep insight into the integration of psychological understanding and pedagogical strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
Dr. Shukla began the session by emphasizing the importance of understanding learners’ psychological needs, including motivation, attention, memory, and individual differences. He explained how these factors significantly influence the learning process and highlighted that effective teaching requires adapting methods according to students’ cognitive and emotional development levels.
The lecture further explored key psychological principles such as reinforcement, readiness, and active engagement. Dr. Shukla stressed that creating a positive learning environment and encouraging participation can improve retention and conceptual clarity. He also discussed the role of feedback and assessment in shaping student performance.
On the pedagogical front, the speaker elaborated on learner-centered approaches, interactive teaching methods, and the importance of clear instructional objectives. He advocated for the use of diverse teaching aids, real-life examples, and technology integration to make learning more meaningful and accessible.

DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series was organized by Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal. The event commenced with a formal inauguration graced by the presences of Chief Guest, Dr. Rajnarayan R. Tiwari Sir, Director, ICMR–National Institute for Research in Environmental Health (NIREH), Bhopal, Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai Sir, Director of Administration, LNCT Group. Dr Yogesh Damodar Sabde Sir Scientist-G ICMR-NIREH and Dr. Deepti Jain ma'am Director SOPS RGPV,
Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain Sir, Director, LNCP, Bhopal, delivered the introductory remarks. He highlighted the objectives and importance of the lecture series in fostering academic growth and research orientation among students and faculty. Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai, Director of Administration, LNCT Group, congratulated LNCP for organizing this popular lecture series. Sir emphasized that students and faculty should derive maximum benefit from such academic initiatives.
Dr. Rajnarayan R.Tiwari Sir, Director, ICMR-NIREH, spoke about the benefits of such events in bridging scientific knowledge with societal health needs.

Topic: "Exploring Modern Biology and Biotechnology: Basic Concepts, Recent Advancements, and Future Potential".

3. Dr. Gopal Patel, Professor, LNCP
Topic: Advancement of Biotechnology and Explanation of Nanotechnologies Microbes to Markets: Fermentation Technologies for Biofuel’s, Pharmaceuticals and the Circular Bioeconomy.

- More than 300 students across UG, PG, and PhD categories registered for the event.
- Poster presentations were organized as part of the series. A large number of students showcased their research ideas and creativity.
- Participants were awarded for Best Poster in different categories.

The DBT Sponsored Popular Lecture Series was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain, Director, LNCP. The event saw enthusiastic participation and provided valuable exposure to emerging areas in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and environmental health.
