MOU Signed between Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP), Bhopal & Lakshmi Narain College of Technology & Science (LNCTS)!!!

With a shared vision to foster innovation at the intersection of Healthcare, Artificial Intelligence, and Advanced Engineering, LNCP Bhopal and LNCTS Bhopal have formalized a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Date 21th September 2026.

To promote interdisciplinary Research, Innovation, and Practical Product Development involving B.Pharm/M.Pharm students from LNCP and B.Tech/M.Tech students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, LNCTS.
This agreement establishes a collaborative framework for an interdisciplinary student-led research and development project. By bridging the gap between pharmaceutical sciences and modern engineering applications, this initiative empowers students from both institutions to work together on real-world industrial challenges.

The agreement was formally signed by Dr. V.N. Bartaria, Principal, LNCTS and Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain, Director, LNCP.

Under MOU between Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP), Bhopal & Lakshmi Narain College of Technology & Science (LNCTS), students completed the project on ‘Drug compatibility checker’. Certificate of Participation issued to students engaged in collaborative project. Dr. Bhupesh Gour, Head of the Department, Computer Science and Engineering motivated students for project work. Dr. Bhawna Pillai, Mr. Reetesh Malvi and Dr. Archana Bagre coordinated this project.

On the occasion of the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week, Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy (LNCP), Bhopal organized a series of activities to create awareness among students about pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reactions, rational medicine use, and patient safety.

As part of the celebration, an Expert Lecture was organized on 23/09/2026 at the LNCP campus. The expert speaker was Mr. Girjesh Vishwakarma, Pharmacovigilance Associate, Gandhi Medical College and Hamidia Hospital, Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre, Bhopal.

The lecture was delivered on the topic “Pharmacovigilance for Rational Medicine Use and Patient Safety.” Mr. Vishwakarma elaborated on the importance of Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting, the role of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), methods of causality assessment, and the significance of pharmacovigilance in ensuring patient safety and promoting the rational use of medicines. He also motivated students to actively participate in ADR reporting and contribute towards safer healthcare practices.

In addition to the expert lecture, various awareness activities were conducted as part of the Pharmacovigilance Week celebrations. A Rangoli Competition was organized to encourage students to creatively express key messages related to pharmacovigilance, ADR reporting, and patient safety. A Digital Campaign was also carried out through digital platforms to disseminate awareness about the importance of reporting adverse drug reactions and promoting the safe and rational use of medicines.

The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and provided an effective platform for enhancing their knowledge and awareness regarding pharmacovigilance and patient safety.

The entire event was coordinated by Mrs. Payal Saiju, Mrs. Kajal Sharma, and Ms. Nishi Jain, under the guidance of Dr. Surendra Kumar Jain, Director, LNCP and Convenor of the Programme.

Lakshmi Narain College of Pharmacy, Bhopal organized an Industrial Visit to *National Capsule Pvt. Ltd., Vidisha* on 22/09/ 2026 for *B.Pharm III Semester* students.

The visit was coordinated by *Dr. Ashish Chaurasia, Mrs. Payal Saiju and Mr. Monu Kumar.* Around 60 students participated.

The objective was to provide practical exposure to empty hard gelatin capsule manufacturing.

Students were welcomed by the production team and briefed about the company profile. They visited the manufacturing plant under cGMP norms and observed the complete process - gelatin preparation, automatic dipping of pins, drying in kilns, stripping, trimming, joining of cap and body, visual inspection, printing and packing.

The QA team explained quality tests like moisture content, disintegration and microbial limits. It was an informative and enriching experience that bridged theory with industrial practice.
