The PG &Research Department of Commerce organized a Value Added Course on "Capital Market Operations" from 15.09.2026 to 19.09.2026 with Annamalai Capital Services. During the programme, students gained in-depth knowledge about the stock market and its operations, including the structure of the capital market, functioning of primary and secondary markets, role of NSE and BSE, Demat and trading accounts, stock indices like Sensex and Nifty, procedure for buying and selling of shares, fundamental and technical analysis, portfolio and risk management, and SEBI regulations. The session provided practical exposure to stock market operations and enhanced the students' understanding of investment avenues and career opportunities in the capital market field.

The Art of Creating an Investment Portfolio for Gen Z

The seminar was designed to bridge the gap between financial theory and real-world investing, encouraging students to start thinking about wealth creation early in their academic journey. Dr. S. Vanitha, Trainer, SEBI & NISM, was the resource person for the session. She shared valuable insights on investment planning, portfolio diversification, risk management, and smart financial habits tailored for Gen Z investors.
