PK College, Contai Prabhat Kumar College, also known as Kanthi College or by the abbreviation P. K. College, established in 1926,is the oldest college in Purba Medinipur.

His unrealised desire to visualise the budding manhood in his only son 'Prabhat Kumar', who withered away in the prime of his life, took the shape of this glorious institution, catering to the academic needs of locality with small agrarian livelihood, but with a big heart.
