The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Kawal Gill, Principal, who emphasised the importance of embracing AI-driven innovations in higher education to create future-ready educators, in line with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
The FDP was conceptualised and convened by Dr. Bimaldeep Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Convenor, Training & Placement Cell, with the vision of building institution-wide AI readiness by empowering faculty members to integrate AI effectively into academic and administrative practices.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Harneet Singh, Founder and Chief AI Officer, Rabbitt AI, who introduced participants to practical applications of Generative AI through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Structured around the themes Teach with AI, Teach AI, and Automate with AI, the programme covered AI foundations, prompt engineering, AI-assisted lesson planning, assessment design, AI literacy, administrative automation, and the ethical and responsible use of AI. Participants developed lesson plans, AI-generated assessments, and presentations using advanced AI tools, enabling immediate classroom implementation.
The FDP concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution, marking another significant milestone in SGGSCC's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and technology-enabled education.
