हिंदी एक इंडो-आर्यन भाषा है, जो लगभग 260 मिलियन लोगों द्वारा बोली जाती है। यह दुनिया में चौथी सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली भाषा है। इस भाषा का प्रयोग भारत और प्रवासी भारतीयों की तरफ से सबसे ज्यादा किया जाता है। भारत में एक लोकप्रिय भाषा होने के साथ-साथ यह अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संचार के लिए भी एक महत्वपूर्ण भाषा बन गई है।
हिंदी को 14 सितंबर, 1949 को राजभाषा का दर्जा दिया गया, इसलिए इस दिन को हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है. संविधान सभा ने देवनागरी लिपि वाली हिंदी के साथ ही अंग्रेजी को भी आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया।
हमारा हिन्दी दिवस 2024 का विषय " हिंदी भाषा का अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रचार-प्रसार करना है।" साथ ही हिंदी दिवस भाषा को सम्मान देने और युवा पीढ़ी के बीच इसे और अधिक लोकप्रिय बनाने के लिए मनाया जाता है।
हिन्दी हमारी मातृभाषा होने के साथ-साथ अन्तराष्ट्रिय भाषा भी बन चुकी है।
हम सभी हिंदुस्तानियों को हमारी राष्ट्रीय भाषा पर गर्व होना चाहिए।
