India's student movement has won a huge victory with the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. But the struggle is far from over.
We must continue to speak out in solidarity with students and others in India fighting for democracy in education and beyond. We will continue to call for an end to fascist police brutality, Islamophobia and Hindu supremacist fascism itself across India.
Join us on Sunday 9th August as we hear from speakers including Neha Bora, President of the All-India Students' Association (AISA) and Danish Ali, Joint Secretary of JNU Students' Union, both leading voices in the movement and wider students' resistance. They will be joined by Arundhati Roy, writer and longtime supporter of left and student movements for democracy.
You can also join us in person to watch together! (Venue tbc)We will be sticking around in the venue after the webinar to meet each other, have more informal chats, drink tea, and paint banners together. Everyone is more than welcome to join us and get Involved with planning further solidarity activities đź’š
