From lived experiences in Bhalswa to intersectional perspectives on heat, PhD scholars and researchers from the DeSH Lab, Department of Design, IIT Delhi, shared their ongoing doctoral research at LivedHeat Symposium 26’ (TU Delft), Netherlands.

Radhika Thakur and Himani Kanojia presented their ongoing research on Bhalswa, while Garima Bhardwaj and Sabahat Ali Khan shared intersectional studies on heat emerging from their doctoral work.

Along with Prof. Saurabh Tewari, the team also conducted a workshop titled “Reimagining Design,” creating space to collectively reflect on and question the possibilities of design.

PhD scholars from the DeSH Lab, Department of Design, IIT Delhi presented and exchanged ideas at UD26: Belonging, University of Aveiro, Portugal.

Rana Shinde, Srutinwita Roy, Himani Kanojia, Garima Bhardwaj and Sabahat Ali Khan presented papers emerging from their doctoral journeys under the guidance of Prof. Saurabh Tewari.

The conference brought together participants from Portugal, Brazil, Italy, England, Mauritius, India, Spain, the USA and several other countries. The exchange of work and perspectives highlighted methodological and critical commonalities across doctoral research from diverse contexts, while also opening up thoughtful and constructive conversations around the work.
