An internationally respected aviation leader, Dr. Aliu has played a pivotal role in advancing global aviation policy, safety, sustainability, and international cooperation. Prof. Sivadath Madhu Menon, Professor at Dhirubhai Ambani University School of Law, attended the India Aircraft Leasing & Financing Summit 2.0 organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), and FICCI at GIFT City, Gujarat.

During the event, Prof. Menon also interacted with Shri Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India.

The gathering brought together aviation leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, leasing companies, regulators, and global industry stakeholders to deliberate on the future of aircraft leasing, aviation finance, and the expanding role of GIFT IFSC as an emerging international hub for aviation financing.

Key discussions focused on strengthening India’s domestic leasing ecosystem, improving financing capabilities, enhancing regulatory certainty, and creating long-term opportunities for investment and growth within the aviation sector.

With India projected to witness significant expansion in its commercial aircraft fleet over the coming decade, the discussions reflected the country’s growing importance in the global aviation and aircraft financing landscape.
