16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
Today 10 December is Human Rights Day!
As the global campaign comes to a close today, we at NAAT Foundation reaffirm our commitment to building a world where every woman and girl can live with dignity, safety, and freedom.
Over the past weeks, and through our work all year round, our team has travelled to communities across Assam, bringing conversations on gender rights, safety, and equality through puppetry, interactive theatre, and arts-based learning.
Children, adolescents, women, and community elders have gathered around to talk about menstrual health, early marriage, violence, and the power of education. Slowly, meaningfully, we see change taking root.
Art continues to be our bridge, connecting people, sparking questions, and inspiring courage.
On this Human Rights Day, we celebrate the voices that have risen, the stories that have been shared, and the strength of every community that welcomed us.
Our resolve does not end with these 16 days. NAAT Foundation will continue to work with communities, artists, educators, and young people to build safer, kinder spaces for all.
Let’s keep standing together. Let’s keep speaking up.
Let’s keep believing that change is possible.
