A Seminar on “Cyber Stalking”

A Cyber Safety Awareness Campaign, GIMT – Guwahati.
As per the direction of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), GIMT – Guwahati has launched a series of events to raise awareness on the safe usage of Social Media and to familiarize the students on various Cyber Security issues. As part of this initiative, an event was organized on the 9th of January, 2023 by Mr. Adarsh Pradhan, Dept. of CSE and by Dr. Sandip Bordoloi, HoD Dept of EE &Dean (Student Affairs) who also delivered a seminar on the topic of “Cyber Stalking”. Dr. Bordoloi enlightened the audience on different aspects of the act of Cyber Stalking.
62 students from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati, and Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Guwahati attended the event. A small interactive session followed thereafter where the students also expressed their views on Cyber Stalking and Cyber Security as a whole.
