Government Model Degree College, Diblong, in collaboration with AURA and the IQAC, GMDC Diblong, successfully organised a Workshop on Mind Education on 26 September 2026 at the College Library.

The workshop featured Dr. Ansai Bathou Basumatary, Assistant Professor, CSWS, Dibrugarh University and Mind Education Specialist, IMEI, as the Resource Person. The session focused on mental well-being, self-awareness, positive thinking and personal development, providing participants with valuable insights into cultivating a healthier and more balanced mind.

The programme was an enriching and engaging learning experience, highlighting the importance of mind education in promoting individual well-being, a stronger community and a sustainable future.

The Institutional-Level Speech Competition, organised as a commemorative event under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, was successfully conducted by Government Model Degree College, Diblong, on 25 September. Centred on the theme “Literacy for People, the Planet and Prosperity,” the occasion highlighted the transformative role of literacy in empowering individuals, nurturing communities, promoting environmental awareness, and building a sustainable and prosperous future.

Government Model Degree College, Diblong, successfully organised a programme on 8 September 2026 to commemorate the birth centenary of the legendary cultural icon, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.

The programme was organised by the IQAC in collaboration with the Department of Assamese and the Department of History, paying tribute to the life, legacy, and immense contributions of the Bard of Brahmaputra. A quiz competition on the life, music, and legacy of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was also conducted, with enthusiastic participation from the students.

An Independence Day Debate and Quiz Competition was held today at Government Model Degree College, Diblong, as part of the celebrations commemorating the spirit of India’s Independence.

Students participated enthusiastically in both events, demonstrating their knowledge, confidence, critical thinking, and awareness of India’s freedom struggle and national heritage. The competitions provided an engaging platform for students to express their views, enhance their knowledge, and celebrate the values of patriotism and national unity.
