💡Why Are Refrigerant Suction and Liquid Lines Different Sizes? ❄️🔧

Have you ever wondered why the suction line is larger than the liquid line in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems? 🤔

✅ Suction Line (Larger Diameter): Carries low-pressure refrigerant v***r back to the compressor. Since v***r has a much lower density than liquid, a larger pipe is required to handle the higher volume flow with minimal pressure drop.

✅ Liquid Line (Smaller Diameter): Carries high-pressure liquid refrigerant from the condenser to the expansion device. Because liquid refrigerant is denser, a smaller pipe size is sufficient to transport the required mass flow efficiently.
