A Preparatory Meeting for the upcoming Foundation Day of SVMC on 11.02.26 was conducted under the Chairmanship of Principal Dr. Smt. Sujata Otta in which apart from Principal Dr. Sujata Otta, Ex-Principal Smt. Bandita Das, Administrative Bursar Sj. Prasanta Kumar Behera, Accounts Bursar Dr. Nrusingha Charan Samantray, Controller of Exam. Sj. Asit Ranjan Mohapatra, Media Cell Head Sj. Suvendu Mauli Nanda and Head of the Department of Physics Sj. SVMC inagurated a Spoken English course in its Room no. 34 of Arts Block with classes beginning from today (05.02.26) onwards with the critical understanding that English is crucial as a language for business, science, and enhancing career prospects in multinational companies, providing access to vast educational and media content, for fostering international connections, boosting confidence, and aiding travel. It is a tool for personal growth while allowing exploration of rich cultural expressions. SVMC inagurated Self-Defense Training Programme for all +3 first year girl students this morning 30.01.26 to educate and train the girls in the Techniques of Self-Defense. In the absence of Principal Dr. Smt. Sujata Otta, Ex-Principal Smt. Bandita Das presided over the formal meeting. SVM HSS Head Dr. Manoja Manjari Swain, Administrative Bursar Sj. Prasanta Kumar Behera, Academic Bursar Sj. Ananta Charan Acharya, Accounts Bursar Dr. Nrusingha Charan Samantray and Media Cell Head Sj. Suvendu Mauli Nanda accompanied her in the inauguration of the programme along with the Coordinator, Self-Defence Training Programme, SVMC Smt. Bidyut Prava Dash, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. Henceforth, the training programme will be conducted for all the +3 first year girl students cutting across departments and the sessions will continue from 7am to 9am in the morning.

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated at SVM Autonomous College, Jagatsinghpur, with great enthusiasm and patriotism under the astute leadership of Principal Dr. Smt. Sujata Otta in the early morning today (26.01.26). The events on this significant occasion featured parades by the NCC, NSS, YRC and Ranger and Rover units of the college and flag hoisting by Dr. Smt. Otta accompanied by Administrative Bursar Sj. Prasanta Kumar Behera, Controller of Examinations Sj. Asit Ranjan Mohapatra, Media Cell Head Sj. Suvendu Mauli Nanda, Coordinators of NCC, NSS, YRC, Ranger Rover, Swachhata Bahini Units of the college, PETs along with other Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Members of the institution. Large volumes of student volunteers and other students reinforcing the idea of unity in diversity and significance of the day for the entire nation keenly participated in the observation.
