📢 Announcement: Workshop on Phytochemical Techniques
Amrita School of Ayurveda, in collaboration with the Phytochemistry & Phytopharmacology Department, KSCSTE–JNTBGRI, Thiruvananthapuram, is organizing a One-Day Hands-on Workshop on Phytochemical Techniques.
🗓 Date: March 4, 2026
📍 Venue: ACARA Lab, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Vallikavu
🕘 Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
The workshop includes hands-on training and instrument demonstrations in:
Extraction Techniques: Soxhlet Extraction, Clevenger Apparatus
Separation Techniques: TLC & HPTLC
Characterization Techniques: UV–Visible Spectroscopy, LC–MS/MS QTOF
Quantitative Estimation: UV–Visible Spectroscopy, LC–MS/MS QTOF, HPTLC Densitometry
🔹 Only 15 seats are available.
🔹 Preference will be given to Faculty members and PG Scholars of Amrita School of Ayurveda.
🔹 Selection will be on a First-Come, First-Served basis.
After registration, selected participants will be provided with the payment link.

PG Scholars of the Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, 2023 Batch, completed an academic Pharmacy visit from 07 to 14 February 2026 to leading Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industries across India. The team visited Himalaya Wellness Company (Bangalore), IMCOPS (Chennai), Vasu Pharmaceuticals (Vadodara), and Rasahriday (Pune). Scholars gained valuable exposure to GMP-compliant manufacturing, raw material authentication, quality control systems, and large-scale production of Ayurvedic and Siddha medicines.

Saksham 2026 – FDP on Soft Skills Successfully Conducted

The Amrita School of Ayurveda successfully conducted “Saksham 2026 – Faculty Development Programme on Soft Skills” on 28th and 29th January 2026 for its faculty members.

The programme was led by Mr. Hari P. Gupta along with the BPRL Team, who delivered engaging and insightful sessions focusing on soft skills, effective communication, interpersonal competence, self-awareness, and professional development. The sessions were interactive, practical, and closely aligned with the academic and professional needs of faculty members.

Dr. Prajeesh Nath E N, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Ayurveda, and Co-ordinator, Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC), delivered a talk at the CME programme Reacting to Reactions held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi, on the Ayurvedic perspective of adverse reactions, with emphasis on rational drug use, individualised treatment, and the role of pharmacovigilance in day-to-day clinical practice. The session highlighted how classical principles, when applied with clinical vigilance, can meaningfully contribute to safer therapeutic outcomes.

Amrita School of Ayurveda is happy to announce the Call for Abstracts to present IKS related research and knowledge perspectives during the upcoming International Conference on Bhāratīya Knowledge Frameworks organised by Amrita IKS Centre of Excellence for Āyurveda, Vyākaraṇa and Darśana. There are three tracks in the conference - Āyurveda, Vyākaraṇa and Darśana... The Conference will be held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus in Kollam, Kerala from 24th to 26th March, 2026.
