Student Tech-Fest “AAROHAN 2026” at Department of Civil Engineering, KLE Technological University, Belagavi

A Two-day national-level technical fest showcasing innovation, talent, and real-world problem-solving in Civil Engineering was held on 28th – 29th April 2026.

The fest commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by Dr. Praveen Rathod, Chief Technology Officer at NERAM CES Pvt. Ltd., Pune, as the Chief Guest.

Various technical events; Civilathon (Civil Hackathon), Drafting Duel, Material Mystery, and Bridge Modelling were held wherein participants showcased remarkable enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
The two-day National Level Technical Fest brought together students from various institutions across Diploma and Undergraduate programs for a vibrant display of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration
A key highlight of the fest was Civilathon, a multidisciplinary hackathon aimed at addressing real-world civil engineering problems through innovative website-based, IoT-based, and hybrid solutions. The hackathon focused on themes such as smart infrastructure systems, sustainable urban development, advanced construction solutions, and water and environmental management.

💧 World Water Day Celebration 2026 💧

Our institution proudly celebrated "World Water Day" themed " Water and Gender" on 26th March 2026 with great enthusiasm and awareness towards sustainable water management.

We were honored to have Prof. K. V. Jayakumar from Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad as the Chief Guest, who delivered an insightful talk emphasising the importance of water conservation, innovative engineering solutions, and responsible usage for future generations.

The program was presided over by our respected Principal, Dr. S. F. Patil, who highlighted the need for integrating sustainable practices in academics and daily life.

🌍 Theme: “Water for Sustainable Development”

The session inspired students and faculty to take collective responsibility in protecting this precious resource and to work towards a water-secure future.

The Department of Civil Engineering, KLE Technological University, Dr M S Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi, Karnataka in association with CNEST - Next Gen Center for Entrepreneurship in Science and Technology (under TBI 2.0, Supported by the Government of Karnataka) and IIC - Institution’s Innovation Council, proudly presents CIVILATHON, under the banner of Aarohan 2026 - 2 days national level technical fest.

CIVILATHON is a 2-day national level hackathon focused on innovative civil engineering Multidisciplinary solutions. *Open for all engineering stream students of Diploma, and Engineering (UG/PG)*. Participants will ideate, implement, and showcase theme-based projects.

*Themes:*
1. Tech driven smart infrastructure system.
2. Tech driven sustainable urban development.
3. Tech driven construction solution.
4. Tech driven water and environment management.

*General Instructions:*
1. Participants while registering need to choose any 1 interested theme.
2. Participants need to get minimum 2 problem statements aligned with the selected theme which clearly defines civil engineering challenge and have solution in integration with AI/ML/IoT based platform / prototype.
3. The hardware material required to build the prototype will be provided from organising team.
4. Participants have to get their own laptop and its accessories as per requirements.

👥 Teams of 2-4 members are encouraged.
