പ്രിയ സുഹൃത്ത് Ayoob Khan അയൂബ് ഘാൻ ഇന്നലെ 'ലൊകുത്തര' സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും കുട്ടികളോട് വളരെ രസകരമായി സംവദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര രംഗത്തെ പ്രശസ്തനും തിരക്കുള്ളതുമായ എഡിറ്ററാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. ദൃശ്യം, പാപനാശം തുടങ്ങി മുപ്പതോളം സിനിമകൾ സ്വതന്ത്രമായി എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹം, അൻപതോളം സിനിമകളിൽ അസോസിയേറ്റ് എഡിറ്ററായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
താമരക്കുളം പോലുള്ള ഒരു സാധാരണ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച്, സിനിമയിൽ തിരക്കുള്ള ഒരു കരിയർ കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കാൻ താൻ നടത്തിയ പരിശ്രമങ്ങളെയും ത്യാഗങ്ങളെയും നേരിട്ട അവഗണനകളെയും കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം ഹൃദയസ്പർശിയായി സംസാരിച്ചു. നമ്മൾ കാണുന്ന രണ്ട് മണിക്കൂർ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് പിന്നിൽ, ഏകദേശം 200 മണിക്കൂർ ദൈർഘ്യമുള്ള ദൃശ്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രധാന ഭാഗങ്ങൾ മാത്രം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു കോർത്തിണക്കുന്ന കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് കുട്ടികൾ വളരെ താൽപ്പര്യത്തോടെ കേട്ടിരുന്നു. ഇത് തീർച്ചയായും അവർക്ക് വലിയൊരു പ്രചോദനമാകും. തുടർന്ന് മൾട്ടിമീഡിയ കോഴ്സുകളുടെ സാധ്യതകളെക്കുറിച്ചും അതിന്റെ വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന കരിയർ മേഖലകളെക്കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം കുട്ടികൾക്ക് വിവരിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

Our dear friend, Mr. Ayub Khan, visited Lokuttara yesterday and had an engaging interaction with the children. A renowned and sought-after editor in the Malayalam film industry, Mr. Ayub Khan has independently edited around 30 films—including hits like Drishyam and Papanasam—and served as an associate editor on nearly 50 others.
He shared a touching account of his journey, detailing the efforts, sacrifices, and setbacks he overcame to build a successful career starting from a small village like Thamarakulam. The children listened intently as he explained the creative labor behind a two-hour film: the painstaking process of sorting through 200 hours of raw footage to craft the final masterpiece. His story was truly inspiring. Furthermore, he spoke about the vast opportunities in Multimedia and its various specializations, opening a world of career possibilities for the students.
