Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (VESCOP), Mumbai (Autonomous), in collaboration with Shri B.V. Patel Education Trust (BVPET), Ahmedabad, is pleased to announce a two-day workshop on “A Practical Approach to Bioanalytical Method Development and Validation” scheduled on 6th & 7th July 2026 at VESCOP, Chembur.

Designed for B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc., M.Sc. students, PhD scholars, academicians, and industry professionals, this workshop aims to bridge theoretical concepts with hands-on practical learning in bioanalytical sciences.
The workshop features practical sessions with case studies to provide an immersive learning experience and strengthen participants’ industry-relevant skills.

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (Autonomous), Mumbai, invites applications for the position of:

🔹 Associate Professor – Pharmacology
📌 No. of Posts: 01
📅 Academic Year: 2026–2027 (Unaided)

The above appointment is purely on temporary and adhoc basis. The regularization of post is subject to performance and selection through duly constituted Selection Committee as per University of Mumbai guidelines. The above post is open to all, candidates from any category can apply for the post.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and first class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch AND
✔️ At least total 6 research publications in SCI Journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of journals AND
✔️ Minimum of 8 years of approved experience in teaching/ research/ industry out of which at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D. experience.

💡 Candidate having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (Autonomous), Mumbai, organized an insightful industrial visit for First Year M.Pharm (Quality Assurance) students and faculty members to IQGEN-X Pharma Pvt Ltd, Navi Mumbai, on 28th April 2026.

The visit aimed to give students practical exposure to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) practices and help them understand how these concepts are applied in the pharmaceutical industry.

We sincerely thank Dr. Mandar Kodgule, Chairman & CEO and Dr. Yogita Kodgule, Director (Chief Analytical & Regulatory Affairs) for their support and for making this visit possible. We also thank Mr. SHARAD KAICKER for coordinating the visit.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Dr. Supriya Shidhaye, Principal, VESCOP for her support and encouragement. Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (VESCOP), under the able leadership of Dr. Supriya Shidhaye, Principal, in collaboration with Entod Pharmaceuticals and the Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India – Maharashtra State Branch (APTI-MSB), hosted " : Translating Ophthalmic Innovations from Bench to Bedside", a national symposium focused on bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world clinical application in ophthalmology. The event was further strengthened by the association and presence of Mr. Nikkhil K Masurkar, CEO, Entod Pharmaceuticals.

The event was organized by the Department of Pharmacology of VESCOP, led by Dr. Pradnya Shinde - Korlekar, Head of Department, along with a dedicated team comprising Ms. Mamta Venna, Mr. Avinash Suryawanshi, Dr. HARITHA MUKUND, and Dr. Sneha Bagle, who played a key role in conceptualizing and executing the symposium.

Held at VESCOP, the symposium addressed the rising burden of eye disorders such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular infections, while emphasizing the need for stronger translational approaches in ophthalmic care. The event featured expert-led sessions by leading voices in the field. Prof. Sadhana Sathaye, Professor, DPST, ICT Matunga, spoke on novel ocular formulations using Saraca asoca for cataract and dry eye management. Dr. Kasturi Bhadsavle, Founder of The Eye Vet, shared perspectives on ophthalmic drug delivery in veterinary practice. At the same time, Dr. Sanjay Tamoli, Founder and Director, TIMER, highlighted clinical research approaches for cataract treatment and prevention. Prof. Raghu Raj Singh Thakur, Chair of Pharmaceutics & Founder of Re-Vana Therapeutics at Queen's University Belfast, discussed recent innovations and challenges in ophthalmic drug delivery.

The symposium brought together researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical leaders, and students, fostering meaningful dialogue on improving access, innovation, and clinical outcomes in eye care. The conference also featured 22 research posters aligning with the theme, offering a valuable platform for students and researchers to present their work and exchange ideas.

🎓 A Proud Milestone in Our Academic Journey!

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy (Autonomous) successfully conducted its Convocation Ceremony for the B.Pharm 2024–25 batch—marking a historic moment as the first graduating batch after attaining academic autonomy.

We were honored to have Mr. Nikkhil K Masurkar, CEO of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring words motivated our graduates to strive for excellence and ethical leadership.

The event was further honored by the gracious presence of Dr. Prakash Lulla, Treasurer-VES; Shri Bharat Talreja, Trustee-VESCOP; and Shri Vijay Talreja, Member, Managing Committee-VES.
