The Happy Ganesha Project, was based on creating awareness about the importance of using eco friendly material to make Ganesha idols. For the Cleanliness Drive students of the NSS were linked with MCGM which helped the NSS members to obtain official ID cards, which authorized us to warn (but not fine) people who littered, spat, urinated etc. on "A" road – the zone which Jai Hind College had adopted. All NSS members automatically become members of the Red Ribbon Club which aims to create maximum Aids Awareness. We took part in essay competition, the quiz and the scavenger hunt. For the Disaster Management workshop we had Dignitaries from the Fire Brigade, our Police force, the MCGM and LIHS. We worked for an NGO called "Navjivan" which works for the upliftment of sex workers and their children. We helped raise funds by selling 2010 calendars for them and took part in the Slogan writing competition. Chairperson and Ex-Officios/ Student Members :
