The Department of Commerce, Sikkim Government College, Namchi, organised a Gardening and Plantation Activity in the departmental garden on 30 September 2026. The programme was actively participated in by the Head of the Department, faculty members, and students of B.Com V Semester.
The participants carried out various activities such as cleaning the garden, removing weeds, preparing the soil, planting saplings and ornamental plants, watering plants, and maintaining the existing greenery.
The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, cleanliness, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility towards nature among the students. It also encouraged students to actively contribute towards maintaining a clean and green college environment.
The programme concluded successfully, with all participants taking a collective initiative to maintain and develop a clean, green, and attractive departmental garden.💐

The Department of Commerce, Sikkim Government College, Namchi, organised a Gardening and Plantation Activity in the departmental garden on 28 August 2026. The programme was actively participated in by the Head of the Department, faculty members, and students of B.Com 1st Semester.
The activity was organised with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to contribute towards maintaining a clean, green, and healthy campus. The participants enthusiastically took part in various activities, including gardening, cleaning, and plantation.
Several saplings were planted successfully, and the departmental garden was cleaned, improved, and beautified through the collective efforts of the participants. The programme also helped students understand the importance of environmental conservation, teamwork, and responsibility towards nature.
