Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA Symbiosis Law School, Noida is an eminent premier law school of the country.

SLS, Noida is introducing a new era of innovative learning, inter-disciplinary knowledge and industrious environment with unique orientation and methodology of legal pedagogy in place. Classes are highly interactive, delivered not only by the best academicians but also by the legal luminaries of the field. It strongly believes that law students should stick not only to theoretical teaching but also inculcate and improve the court room etiquettes, research experience and advocacy skills through court room and related exercises such as moot court, mock trials, drafting of pleadings and client counseling. Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, in collaboration with Adelaide University, Australia, presents a seminar on “Voluntary Assisted Dying in South Australia: What It Is, Why It Exists, and Key Controversies Under the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2021 (SA).”

When a partnership dissolves, does an outgoing partner’s share get valued on the date of dissolution?

The Hon’ble Supreme Court has clarified that the date of dissolution is relevant for determining the partnership’s profits or losses, but it does not freeze the value of an outgoing partner’s share in the partnership assets.

The partner’s entitlement must be determined based on the value of the assets at the time of their actual valuation. The Hon’ble Court also held that a new partnership cannot simply continue using the assets of the dissolved firm without first settling the outgoing partner’s entitlement.
