🌍 Congratulations to Sameer Yasin on a Remarkable Global Achievement! 👏✨
We are proud to congratulate Sameer Yasin second year student of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication SIT at Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune on being appointed as the Ambassador for India to the International Youth Council on Gender Equality (IYCGE) after a rigorous and highly competitive selection process. The selection panel comprised UN diplomats, PhD scholars, youth leaders working with foreign ministries, and researchers from across the globe, making this achievement truly commendable.
As India’s Ambassador, Sameer will:
Conduct research on priority issues related to gender equality
Lead investigations and contribute to evidence-based policy action
Drive youth engagement and advocacy initiatives
Coordinate with governmental bodies to raise awareness and strengthen policy support
In addition, Sameer will be establishing the IYCGE India National Team through a structured fellowship program, creating meaningful opportunities for young leaders across the country. The fellowship roles will include:
🔹 Research Fellows – Research, data compilation, policy analysis, and evidence-based advocacy
🔹 Government Relations Fellow – Strategic engagement with government and intergovernmental institutions
🔹 Public Advocacy Fellows – Public outreach, community engagement, communications, and awareness-building.
