🚀 IEEE Maharashtra EIG 2026 – Entrepreneurship & Innovation Fellowship | Successfully Concluded! 🚀
Five days. Global perspectives. Bold ideas. One shared mission — Connect. Collaborate. Create a Smarter Tomorrow. 💡🌍
From 4–8 August 2026, Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune hosted the IEEE Maharashtra EIG 2026 – Entrepreneurship & Innovation Fellowship, featuring four days of engaging online sessions followed by a one-day offline Grand Finale at our campus. The finale brought together aspiring innovators for an exciting Shark Tank-style pitching competition across Open Innovation and Smart Cities tracks. 🏆💡
The fellowship was jointly organized by IEEE Maharashtra Section, IEEE Nagpur Subsection (Bombay Section, R-10) , IEEE Entrepreneurship, IEEE Smart Cities, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Activities (HTA), and IEEE SIGHT, in collaboration with Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune and IEEE SIT Pune (STB13901). 🤝
🌟 Special Thanks to Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director, SIT Pune, and Dr Suman Lata Tripathi, Head, E&TC, SIT Pune, for their valuable leadership, encouragement, and continued support and credits to Dr. MVV Prasad Kantipudi for organizing the event.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication SIT at Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune, is pleased to share that Dr. Akash Kumar Bhoi, Assistant Professor, EnTC, participated as a delegate at the MathWorks Automotive Conference India 2026, held at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Pune.
The conference provided an excellent platform for industry–academia interaction, networking, and technology exploration, bringing together experts from leading automotive and technology organizations. The sessions offered valuable insights into MATLAB, Simulink, Model-Based Design, Generative AI, Agentic AI, ADAS, Virtual Engineering, and Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), highlighting the rapidly evolving technology landscape of the automotive sector.
A key highlight was the panel discussion featuring Dr. Ketan Kotecha, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, whose perspectives on Causal Agentic AI, Neuromorphic Agentic AI, and their emerging engineering applications provided valuable direction on future intelligent engineering technologies.
Participation in such forums strengthens the Department’s Industry–Connect initiatives through industry interaction, collaboration opportunities, student exposure, internships, and joint academic–industry activities.

🌍 Congratulations to Sameer Yasin on a Remarkable Global Achievement! 👏✨
We are proud to congratulate Sameer Yasin second year student of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication SIT at Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune on being appointed as the Ambassador for India to the International Youth Council on Gender Equality (IYCGE) after a rigorous and highly competitive selection process. The selection panel comprised UN diplomats, PhD scholars, youth leaders working with foreign ministries, and researchers from across the globe, making this achievement truly commendable.

As India’s Ambassador, Sameer will:
Conduct research on priority issues related to gender equality
Lead investigations and contribute to evidence-based policy action
Drive youth engagement and advocacy initiatives
Coordinate with governmental bodies to raise awareness and strengthen policy support
In addition, Sameer will be establishing the IYCGE India National Team through a structured fellowship program, creating meaningful opportunities for young leaders across the country. The fellowship roles will include:
🔹 Research Fellows – Research, data compilation, policy analysis, and evidence-based advocacy
🔹 Government Relations Fellow – Strategic engagement with government and intergovernmental institutions
🔹 Public Advocacy Fellows – Public outreach, community engagement, communications, and awareness-building.

This is an inspiring milestone and a significant step toward strengthening youth-led action on gender equality at the global level. Wishing Sameer every success in this impactful role!

The Department of Electronics and Tele-Communication SIT Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune, at Symbiosis Institute Of Technology Pune hosted an insightful online session on “Current Trends in the Energy Sector and Opportunities for E&TC Engineers” by our distinguished international alumnus, Mr. Anshul Saxena.

The session shed light on the evolving global energy landscape, including the role of technology, data analytics, and policy in shaping the future of electricity markets. Our students gained valuable exposure to real-world industry trends and career pathways beyond borders.

A big thank you to Anshul Saxena for reconnecting with the department and sharing their global perspective with the next generation of engineers!
