🎓 PRARAMBH 2026 – Day 2 : 📚 Students’ Library Session & Workshop Visit

As part of PRARAMBH 2026, the 2nd Activity was organized on 25th August 2026 for the newly admitted students.

The session included an informative Library Orientation, helping students understand the library facilities, resources, and effective utilization of learning materials. The students also visited the Workshop, where they were introduced to workshop facilities, equipment, the practical learning environment, and essential safety practices.

The activity provided students with valuable exposure to the academic and practical learning facilities available at the institution.

Dr. Mahesh A. Kakade delivered an insightful and inspiring session, highlighting the emerging challenges in professional education, the importance of skill development, adaptability, continuous learning, and preparing students for future opportunities.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. A. J. Gujar. All Heads of Departments (HoDs), faculty members, and First Year students were present and actively participated in the programme.

🚀 Entrepreneurial Mindset: Turning Challenges into Business Opportunities

Jaywant College of Engineering and Polytechnic (JCEP), K. M. Gad, successfully organized an insightful Guest Lecture on “Entrepreneurial Mindset: Turning Challenges into Business Opportunities” on 24th August 2026 at the JCEP Seminar Hall.

The session featured Mr. Sudhanshu J. Patange, an entrepreneur with an MBA in Business Analytics from Savitribai Phule Pune University, as the Guest Speaker. Drawing from his practical experience in family business, textile and garment business, and entrepreneurship, he shared valuable insights with the students.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the guest by Dr. A. J. Gujar, Principal, JCEP. The introduction of the Guest Speaker was given by Prof. Bhandare S. S., Convenor, Institute Innovation Cell, JCEP.

Mr. Patange encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and view challenges as opportunities for innovation, creativity and growth. He discussed identifying business opportunities, idea generation, calculated risk-taking, problem-solving, adaptability, decision-making and transforming innovative ideas into successful business ventures.

His real-world examples and entrepreneurial experiences made the session highly informative and engaging. The interactive session also provided students with an opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance about entrepreneurship and future business opportunities.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. P. D. Kadam, expressing gratitude to Mr. Sudhanshu J. Patange for sharing his valuable knowledge, experience and entrepreneurial insights.

The initiative significantly contributed to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking and an opportunity-oriented mindset among students. 🌟

🏫 S.S.P.M. Jaywant College of Engineering & Polytechnic, Jaywantnagar, Killemachindragad warmly welcomed the newly admitted students of Batch 2026–27 through the ‘Prarambh 2026’ Welcome & Induction Programme, held on 24 August 2026.

🌸 The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest & Principal Dr. A. J. Gujar, who addressed and guided the students on the importance of academic excellence, discipline, skill development, consistency, and maintaining a positive approach towards their educational journey and future careers.

🎤 Mrs. S. N. More delivered the Welcome and Introduction Speech, warmly welcoming the students to the JCEP family.

🎨🚫 ANTI-RAGGING WEEK – AWARENESS RALLY & STREET PLAY ORGANIZED SUCCESSFULLY 🚫🎨

🏫 Jaywant College of Engineering and Polytechnic, Killemachindragad, successfully organized Anti-Ragging Week to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and promote a safe, respectful, friendly and inclusive campus environment.

🏳️‍♂️🎭 As part of the concluding activities, an impactful Anti-Ragging Awareness Rally and Street Play was organized on 20 August 2026 by the Department of Civil Engineering.

📢 Students actively participated with meaningful anti-ragging slogans, banners, powerful performances and awareness messages, highlighting students’ rights and responsibilities and encouraging everyone to contribute towards a ragging-free campus.

💬 The students conveyed a strong message:

“Ragging is not fun. Respect is the way forward!”
“Say No to Ragging!”
“Together for a Ragging-Free Campus!” 🤝

👨‍🏫 The activity was successfully conducted under the valuable guidance of Hon’ble Principal Dr. A. J. Gujar and Dean Academics Dr. A. P. Bhosale.

🎯 The event was coordinated by Mr. B. M. Mohite, Event Coordinator, with the support of Mrs. S. N. More, Member Secretary, Anti-Ragging Cell, Prof. M. J. Deshmukh, Dean – Student Welfare, Dr. S. P. Patil, HOD – Civil Engineering, and the Department Faculty Members.
