The Department Advisory Board (DAB) Meeting of the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was successfully conducted at 1 p.m. in the NAAC Room, Jaywant College of Engineering and Polytechnic.

The meeting was attended by Academic Expert Dr. Saurabh R. Prasad, Assistant Professor, E&TC Department, DKTE, Ichalkaranji; Industry Expert Mr. Tushar J. Inamdar, Founder & Director, Square Wave Automation Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Satara; student representatives Ms. Gulnaz Khan and Mr. Altaf Makandar, along with faculty members of the

The meeting began with the introduction of DAB members by Prof. S. P. Dawane. Principal Dr. A. J. Gujar welcomed the academic expert, while Dean Academics Dr. A. P. Bhosale welcomed the industry expert. Prof. S. S. Bhandare presented the departmental activities, covering academics, training & placement, industry interaction, and student skill-development initiatives.
During the discussion, Dr. Saurabh R. Prasad suggested strengthening practical-based and hands-on training and encouraged students to appear for GATE and other competitive examinations. Mr. Tushar J. Jaywant Smart India Hackathon 2026 – A Day of Ideas, Innovation and Inspiration

S.S.P.M.’s Jaywant College of Engineering & Polytechnic (JCEP) successfully organized the Jaywant Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 – Prerequisite Event on 23rd September 2026 at the Seminar Hall, JCEP Campus.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 40 teams/groups, with students presenting innovative ideas and creative solutions based on Smart India Hackathon problem statements. The event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, teamwork, technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.

Her address helped students understand the significance of the initiative and encouraged them to actively participate and refine their ideas.

Dr. A. J. Gujar, Principal, JCEP, delivered an inspiring address and encouraged students to think innovatively, work collaboratively and develop technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

Dr. D. K. Agarwal shared valuable insights into innovation, entrepreneurship, technology and real-world problem-solving, motivating students to transform their ideas into meaningful and practical solutions.

Dr. Jayant Pawar encouraged students to explore opportunities in innovation, research, teamwork and entrepreneurship and emphasized the importance of continuously improving and refining their SIH ideas.

The distinguished guests and judges were felicitated as a token of respect and gratitude for their valuable presence, guidance and encouragement.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. A. P. Bhosale, who expressed sincere gratitude to the guests, judges, management, Principal, Dean – R&D, faculty coordinators, mentors and participating students for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the event.
