The establishment of the school in 1983 marked a significant step in the history of imparting quality education in the rural areas of Punjab which was dotted with dilapidated school building and education was a distant dream. Moreover the state was pursing through a very difficult phase where all development had been struck due to a separatist movement. After the inception of the school by SARDAR

SADHU SINGH SHERGILL the development did not confined to the four walls of school. The village Mukandpur has grown into a kind of education village having a constituent college of GNDU Amritsar and many more education institutions. in the rural areas. The endeavor cause to promote common system of education, common culture and national integration. The goal was very difficult and path ahead was not without obstacles but the founders had a very clear vision mission clear to their heart and planned and equally pragmatic approach. We are the leaders amongst the rural schools affiliated to C.B.S.E. Vast developing the infrastructure and manpower matching to the growing demands of the time and technology. Excellent performance in Academics by outstanding achievements in the results year by year whereby most of students attain ‘A’ grade or more coupled with glorious achievements in sports in C.B.S.E. and other games have given the school a clear edge over others in the area, where parents aspire to send their children and students aspire to come for learning in a very conductive and healthy environment. Our vision was clear and our mission was clear to our heart and our approach was equally programmatic that we have a clear edge over all other schools. Our commitment is no less than when we started and our endeavor is go further by leaps and bound to produce socially useful and productivities. It has possible with the dedication of all the Teachers, Parents and Students and will remain so in future also. An advent of computer and an era of information technology and faced opposition to it as if it will increase unemployment and reduce the mental ability of human brain. Political compulsion retarded the policy framing and policy implementation at different levels. Now with the revolutionary changes in sectors, experiencing and sharing of benefits the society has finally accepted and adopted the in inventory and programs to benefit the human being. We also plan to upgrade the various technologies in imparting education and go up to the paper less teaching strategies.

We are delighted to announce that our talented students have secured 1st Position at the District Level in the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Our winning project, “Smart School Bus System,” impressed the judges with its innovative approach to enhancing student safety and modernizing school transportation through technology.

Closing Ceremony of Summer Camp 2026
Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy, Mukandpur, successfully concluded its Summer Camp, organised from June 1, 2026, to June 6, 2026, with great enthusiasm and participation from students.

The programme commenced with a soulful Shabad, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the event. Students mesmerised the audience with an impressive Yoga Performance, showcasing discipline, balance and mindfulness. The cultural segment featured a melodious Folk Song, the heartfelt Punjabi song "ਮਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਊਣ ਸਦਾ", an energetic Punjabi Remix Dance, and a lively Bhangra Performance, which filled the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm.

A special highlight of the ceremony was the Speech and Debate on “Moral Values and Ethics in Today’s Generation”, where students confidently expressed their views on the importance of integrity, respect and responsibility in modern society.

The gathering was further inspired by the motivating address delivered by our respected Vice Chairman, Dr Amarjit Singh ji, who appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged students to continue learning, growing and upholding strong values in their lives.

The camp provides students with opportunities to explore new talents, build confidence, develop life skills and create lasting memories in a fun-filled environment.
This camp is thoughtfully curated to provide a perfect blend of enjoyment, exploration and skill enhancement, it offers a diverse range of activities that cater to the intellectual, physical, creative and emotional development of students.
The camp not only includes fitness and sports sessions that encourage an active lifestyle and discipline, but also cultural activities that broaden perspectives and promote respect for diversity. In addition, art and craft workshops are conducted to nurture creativity and innovation. Students actively participate in dance and music sessions, which help to develop self-expression and confidence. Special assembly on Earth Day

Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy, Mukandpur organised a vibrant and awareness-driven Special Assembly on the occasion of Earth Day, highlighting the importance of protecting our planet.

The assembly began with a soulful Shabad, ਪਵਣੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਧਰਤਿ ਮਹਤੁ ॥, followed by a thought-provoking poem and an enlightening speech by the students, emphasising the need to care for our environment.

With immense pride and joy, Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy, Mukandpur successfully organised its Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony (2024-25), celebrating the hard work, dedication and achievements of our bright students.
The function was graciously presided over by our esteemed Chief Guest, Advocate S. Iqbal Singh Ji, in the presence of honourable Chairman S.Parminder Singh Shergill ji and worthy Vice Chairman Dr. Amarjit Singh Ji.
The event began with the warm welcome of our esteemed Chief Guest, followed by the soulful School Shabad and the auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with positivity through Ganesh Vandana and a vibrant Welcome Dance by our little stars.
Our talented students mesmerised everyone with group songs, poem recitation and energetic performances, including a cultural dance Bhangra.
The highlight of the event was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where students were honoured for their excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.
The gathering was inspired by the encouraging words of our Chief Guest, Advocate S. Iqbal Singh Ji and the inspirational address by worthy Vice Chairman Dr. Amarjit Singh Ji who appreciated the efforts and hard work of students.

Celebration of Baisakhi & Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti

Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy, Mukandpur, along with SSS Maple Bear Canadian School, organized a vibrant celebration on the occasion of Baisakhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti.

Students showcased their talent through a variety of performances, including:

• Shabad Kirtan (Deh Shiva Var Mohe Eh and Wah Wah Gobind Singh Aape Gur Chela)

• Speeches on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

• Poetry recitations

• Folk dance and Giddha performances

• Songs and Kavishri

Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy and SSS Maple Bear Canadian School, Mukandpur, gracefully organized The Path Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji to seek the blessings of the Almighty for the new academic session 2026–27.

The serene and spiritual atmosphere filled the campus with positivity, peace, and devotion. After the Path, the students of Sadhu Singh Shergill Academy presented soulful Shabad and Kirtan, including “*Deh Shiva Var Mohe Eh*” and “*Wah Wah Gobind Singh Aape Gur Chela*”, spreading a beautiful message of faith, courage, and gratitude.
