PESITM Shivamogga has initiated an important step towards strengthening Industryโ€“Academia collaboration through a proposed Long-Term Internship Program for students, aligned with the needs of the Foundry and Manufacturing sectors.

As part of this initiative, PESITM visited leading industries, including Pearlite Liners Pvt Ltd and Shanthala Spherocast Pvt Ltd, to understand industry expectations and opportunities for students.

Following these discussions, distinguished industry leaders from Shanthala Spherocast Pvt Ltd, Pearlite Liners Pvt Ltd, and Smt. Sangeetha Sharath โ€“ Techno Innovative Castings Pvt. Ltd. visited the PESITM campus.

This initiative further continued on 22nd May 2026 with the esteemed presence of officials and office bearers of The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF).

The discussions focused on collaborative internship models, industry-ready curricula, and skill development, highlighting successful approaches such as the PSG iTech model for strengthening industryโ€“academia collaboration.

PESITM is looking forward to collaborating closely with industries, the IIF Shivamogga Chapter, and stakeholders to create a sustainable and impactful roadmap that benefits students, institutions, and industries.

PESITM Shivamogga celebrated its Annual Day โ€œPrerana 2026โ€ on 16th May 2026 at Prerana Convention Hall with grandeur and enthusiasm. ๐ŸŽ‰

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Subash B R, COO, PES Trust, Shivamogga, in the presence of Dr. Nagaraja R, Registrar, PES Trust, Shivamogga, Dr. Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM Shivamogga, Dr. Sekar R, Vice Principal, PESITM Shivamogga, and Mr. Tharanatha H, Cultural Coordinator, PESITM Shivamogga.
