On this International Women’s Day, the Afghan Students Association in India extends its heartfelt wishes to women around the world, and most especially to the brave and resilient women of Afghanistan.
Afghan women have long stood as symbols of strength, dignity, and perseverance. Despite unprecedented challenges, they continue to inspire the world with their courage, patience, and unwavering hope for a better future.
Education is not only a fundamental human right but the foundation upon which societies prosper. The continued closure of schools and universities to Afghan girls and women deeply concerns Afghans everywhere and deprives the nation of the potential of half of its population.
On this important day, we call upon the de facto authorities in Afghanistan to reopen schools and universities for Afghan girls and women, allowing them to pursue their rightful path to knowledge, empowerment, and national development.
A prosperous Afghanistan cannot be imagined without the education and participation of its women.
Today we stand in solidarity with Afghan women honoring their resilience and hoping for a future where every Afghan girl can learn, grow, and contribute to the rebuilding of our nation.
Happy International Women’s Day.

The Afghan Students Association in India was honored to represent Afghanistan at the recent International Food Festival at Savitrabai Phule Pune University! This incredible event, themed "No To Drugs, Yes To Life," was a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and understanding.
For us, food is more than just sustenance it's the heart of our hospitality, a symbol of dignity, and a powerful tool for connection. We believe that sharing a meal is the first step towards dialogue, reconciliation, and lasting peace.
It was a true privilege to welcome the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, officiating Registrar, and other esteemed university officials to our stall. Seeing their appreciation for the rich flavors of Afghan cuisine, prepared with love and tradition, filled us with immense pride.
Thank you, SPPU, for creating such a wonderful space where students from around the world can share their heritage and build bridges of friendship.

In Loving Memory of Bayanullah Zia
The Afghan Students Association in India is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Bayanullah Zia, a dedicated PhD scholar in Engineering, in Gujarat, India.
Bayanullah was not only an exceptional student but also a young Afghan filled with purpose, resilience, and hope. Studying far from home, he carried Afghanistan in his heart dreaming of the day he would return to serve the nation and empower Afghan youth with the knowledge, skills, and experience he had tirelessly acquired over the years in India. His academic journey was driven by a deep sense of responsibility toward his country and its future.
His loss is not only a loss to his family and friends but also to Afghanistan, which has lost a committed son and a promising mind.
On behalf of the Afghan Students Association in India, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, teachers, and fellow students. We pray that Allah (SWT) grants him Jannat-ul-Firdous and gives patience and strength to his family during this time of profound grief.
Gone too soon, but his dreams, dedication, and love for Afghanistan will always remain alive.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

Proudly Representing Afghanistan at the International Students Food Festival! 🇦🇫
The Afghan Students Association in India (ASAI) had the honor of participating in the International Students Food Festival organized by Symbiosis International University. Our vibrant stall offered more than just authentic Afghan cuisine — it was a taste of our rich history, cultural pride, and national symbols.
From traditional dishes that warmed hearts to the visual storytelling of Afghanistan’s heritage, our presentation was met with overwhelming appreciation from students around the world. The love and curiosity shown by participants reminded us once again that food is a powerful bridge between cultures.
Thank you to Symbiosis for the opportunity to share our identity with the global student community. We’re proud to be Afghan, and even prouder to be part of this beautiful international family.
