📸✨ Highlights from the One-Day Workshop on NMR Spectroscopy! ✨📸
On 19 February 2026, the School of Forensic Science (SFS), in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence – Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (CoE-NDPS), NFSU Gandhinagar, successfully organized an engaging One-Day Workshop on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy.
The workshop brought together students, researchers, and professionals to explore the fundamentals and applications of NMR in research, pharmaceuticals, and forensic science.
Expert speakers — Prof. Manjunath Ghate (Campus Director, NFSU Dharwad), Dr. Ajay Soni (Deputy Director, CoE-NDPS), and Mr. Sandip Jagtap (Business Manager, Labindia, Bengaluru) — delivered insightful sessions on NMR basics, spectral interpretation, and real-world case studies.

On 16th February 2026, the School of Forensic Science at National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, hosted an engaging "One-Day Workshop on Forensic Photography"— a day dedicated to mastering the art and science of documenting truth.

The session was led by Mr. Virendra Adhikhari .sudio , Photography Mentor, who delivered a remarkable and insightful session on the vital role of photography in crime scene investigation. From technical camera handling to documentation techniques, participants gained practical insights into how precision behind the lens strengthens the pursuit of justice.

The workshop was thoughtfully coordinated by Dr. Kanica Chugh, Assistant Professor and convened by Prof. (Dr.) Astha Pandey, Dean - School of Forensic Science, whose dedication and academic leadership ensured a highly enriching learning experience for all attendees.

The School of Forensic Science successfully organized a series of Expert Talks on 16 January 2026 at the Upper Auditorium in the presence of renowned forensic experts. Dr. Madhusudhan Reddy, Scientist & Head, Laboratory of DNA Fingerprinting Services and Laboratory of Genomics and Profiling Applications, CDFD, Hyderabad, delivered an informative lecture on advances in DNA fingerprinting and genomics. This was followed by an engaging session by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur, Rajasthan, who shared valuable real-life forensic case studies with the students. The session received enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members and helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical forensic work.

We have conducted a 5-day MATLAB Training Program by MathWorks in hybrid mode across all campuses of NFSU from 24th to 28th November 2025. The training was organized under NFSU’s 3-year campus-wide MATLAB license, providing access to all students, faculty members, and staff. It was delivered by Dr. Shubhobrata Bhattacharya, Senior Training Engineer, MathWorks India Pvt. Ltd. Faculty members and research scholars across NFSU campuses benefited from the program, with a total of 20 participants attending the training. This training will help participants effectively use MATLAB for data analysis, simulations, signal and image processing, and advanced research applications in forensic science and allied disciplines.
