Government Degree College Verinag on 12th November 2025 organized a panel discussion
on the theme “Role of Vande Mataram -National Song in India’s Freedom Struggle." The event was organized by the Department of Political Science as part of the ongoing series of programmes commemorating 150 years of the National Pride -Vande Mataram. Students from various semesters actively participated in the discussion and shared insightful perspectives on how the National Song inspired patriotic fervor and unity during the struggle for independence.

Government Degree College Verinag observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 30th October 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. On this occasion, a pledge ceremony was organized in the college premises.
The faculty members and students of the college participated actively and took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the unity, integrity, and security of the nation.
