విభాగాధిపతి డాక్టర్ సశ్రీ పాల్గొన్నారు. ఆసక్తి ఉన్న కళాశాల విద్యార్థులు,
ఔత్సాహిక కవులు శనివారం ఉదయం 10 గంటల నుంచి 12 గంటల వరకు జరిగే యువ
కవితాగానంలో పాల్గొనేందుకు 9989844001 ఫోన్ నెంబరును సంప్రదించాలని వారు
కోరారు. అనంతరం 29న మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటల నుంచి ఒంటిగంట వరకు యువకవులతో ముఖాముఖి
కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహిస్తారు. వర్ధమాన కవులు సోమేపల్లి శ్రీవశిష్ఠ, పిటి పార్కర్,
తులసీ పద్మశ్రీ, నానా, కొల్లి సనత్ కుమార్ కవితానిర్దేశం చేస్తూ విద్యార్థులతో
తమ అనుభవాలు పంచుకుంటారు.

The Department of Computer Science, Parvathaneni Brahmayya Siddhartha
College of Arts & Science, in collaboration with Codegnan, successfully
organized a *Hands-on Workshop on Git & GitHub* on the occasion of *World
Youth Skills Day* on *15th July 2026*.

The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience in version
control using Git and collaborative software development through GitHub.
Students gained practical knowledge of Git fundamentals, repository
creation and management, branching and merging, version tracking, and team
collaboration workflows. The sessions emphasized industry best practices
and real-world software development methodologies, equipping students with
essential skills to enhance their employability and readiness for
professional software development environments.

*Outcome:* Students acquired practical skills in Git and GitHub, enabling
them to efficiently manage code, collaborate on software projects, and
follow industry-standard version control practices.

The Department of Computer Science organized a career guidance session on
Cyber Security and Networking on 20th February 2025 to the students of 2nd
B.Sc.(CSCS). The session was conducted to provide students with valuable
insights into career opportunities in the field of Cyber Security and
Networking. The guest speaker for the event was Mr.M.Prashanth Kumar, an IT
Analyst from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The session was coordinated
by Mr.K.Sridhar and Mr.E.V.V.S.Siva Kumar.

*Objective:*To evaluate student's industry readiness and provide
opportunities with reputed software companies through The RISE assessment
conducted in collaboration with Tech Academy, Bengaluru.

To pave the way for student’s career, the Department of Computer Science,
in association with Tech Academy, *Bengaluru*, conducted The RISE
(Readiness Index for Skills and Employability) assessment test, a
diagnostic tool to evaluate student's industry preparedness.The assessment
is designed to measure skills aligned with evolving industry demands.Based
on their performance, students will gain further opportunities with reputed
software companies. A total of 84 students from MCA and M.Sc. Computer
Science programs participated in the test on our campus today.

*Outcome:*A total of 84 students from MCA and M.Sc. Computer Science
programs assessed their industry readiness through The RISE test, gaining
potential opportunities with reputed software companies based on their
performance.

The Department of Computer Science hosted a seminar on “Global Cloud
Security” on 17th September 2025, engaging postgraduate students with key
insights into cloud security.

*Objective:*The main goal of this seminar was to provide students with a
clear understanding of global cloud security concepts, challenges, and
solutions. It aimed to create awareness about the importance of securing
data, applications, and infrastructure in cloud environments while
introducing students to international standards, compliance requirements,
and best practices. The seminar also focused on bridging the gap between
academic knowledge and real-world cloud security practices, ensuring that
students are well-prepared to handle modern cybersecurity threats.
Additionally, it encouraged participants to explore emerging trends such as
AI-driven security, zero trust frameworks, and quantum-safe cryptography,
thereby equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to pursue research
and industry opportunities in cloud security.

The Department of Computer Science organized an Alumni Talk on “Visualize
to Realize: Alumni Perspectives on Modern Data Science Tools” for M.C.A and
M.Sc. (Computer Science) third semester students on 26th August 2025 (A.Y.
2025-26). The resource person, Mr. T. Vijay (M.C.A alumnus, 2021–22) and
Business Development Manager at Techademy, Bengaluru, shared valuable
insights on the role and future scope of visualization tools in data
science. He emphasized their growing demand across industries and
encouraged students to develop these skills for better career and research
opportunities. The session inspired students to adopt visualization tools
to stay relevant in the data-driven future.

*Outcome:* Students gained awareness of the importance and industry demand
for data visualization tools, motivating them to develop relevant skills
for enhanced career and research prospects in the data science field.

A motivational seminar on *“Universal Human Values for a Sustainable
Future”* was organized by the Department of Computer Science at
Parvathaneni Brahmayya Siddhartha College of Arts & Science,
Vijayawada, on *14th
November 2025* at the Webinar Hall. Students of *M.C.A* and *M.Sc.
(Computer Science)* actively participated in the program.

*Ln. Dr. Ramesh Bhavisetti*, Founder and Psychologist at Spark
Psychological Counseling Centre, Vijayawada, attended the seminar as
the *resource
person* and delivered an insightful and inspiring session.

In his address, he highlighted the significance of universal human values
in personality development, community well-being, and building a
sustainable future.
To explain the importance of values in student's lives, he introduced the
concept of the *“Five Fingers”*, linking each finger to an essential human
value required for building a strong and meaningful personality.

He also explained the interconnection between *mental, physical, and social
health*, emphasizing the need for healthy habits, emotional balance,
discipline, and mindful living. He suggested practical ways for students to
overcome negative thoughts, stress, and anxiety through positive thinking,
emotional control, proper sleep, a healthy diet, and regular physical
activity.

Dr.Ramesh also addressed the growing influence of *mobile phone usage* on
student's mental health. He discussed responsible digital behaviour,
screen-time management, and the importance of digital well-being in today’s
generation.

To help students reduce stress and improve focus, he demonstrated the *4-Box
Breathing Exercise*, allowing students to practice it during the session.
The technique-breathing in for 4 seconds, holding for 4 seconds, exhaling
for 4 seconds, and holding again-was explained as an effective method for
achieving mental calmness and focus.
