Talent Test at P.B. Siddhartha College

Vijayawada, September 26: P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science,
Vijayawada, in association with Ambitions Career Counsellors, conducted the
Commerce and Management Talent Test on Saturday, at the webinar hall. 160
students from colleges in and around Vijayawada appeared for the test. Dr.
Meka Ramesh, Principal, Prof. Rajesh C. Jampala, Dean,K. Narayana Rao, HoD,
Commerce and Vice Principal, Arjun, Co-Founder and Director, Ambitions
Career Counsellors spoke on this occasion. Faculty members P. Subhakar,
Burra Phani Krishna, E. Suvarnanjali, Dr. A. N. V. Durga Anupama, Dr. M.
Hanumaiah, Dr GVSRNSA Sastry extended their support in organising the test.
The organisers announced district-level cash prizes for the first three
positions, besides three consolation prizes. The State Topper will be
awarded a laptop and trophy at Hyderabad by Ambitions Career Counsellors.
The first three prizes were given to R. Krishna Kumar (BBA,PBSC), Muuntu
Dewasi (BBA, PBSC), and K. Sasank (BBA, Loyola) consequently. Asok Kumar
(BBA, PBSC), P. Bhuvanasri (BBA, SDMSM), Syed Tahera Tabassum (BBA, Maris
Stella) were also given cash prizes.

A Talk on Green Chemistry at P.B.Siddhartha

Vijayawada, September 25: Instead of chemicals, eco-friendly alternatives
should be used, said Prof. B. Beerayya, Chemistry Professor at IIT Madras.
Speaking on the topic of 'Green Chemistry' at a programme organized by the
Department of Chemistry, P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science,
Vijayawada in the seminar hall on Friday, Dr. Beerayya said there is a need
to reduce the use of hazardous substances in the application of chemical
products. He said that chemical experiments need to be designed in a more
environmentally friendly manner. He explained how the twelve principles of
green chemistry should be applied to chemical reactions. He said that
instead of disposing of and treating waste after chemical experiments,
waste elimination and accident prevention should be undertaken during the
manufacturing process itself. He said that less hazardous and safe chemical
syntheses and products should be developed. He said that as part of
environmental protection, upcycling of plastic waste is a welcome
development and that we should stop the practice of throwing water bottles
anywhere and everywhere. He added that chemicals and products should be
designed to degrade after use. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Meka Ramesh,
Vice-Principal Dr. M. Manoranjani, and Deputy Head of Chemistry Department
Dr. David Raju and Internal Quality cell coordinator Dr. Babu Rajendra
Prasad felicitated the chief guest Prof. Beeraiah Baire.

బ్రహ్మయ్య సిద్ధార్థ ఆర్ట్స్ అండ్ సైన్స్ కళాశాల వెబినార్ హాలులో తెలుగు
విభాగం నిర్వహించిన గురజాడ జయంతి వేడుకల్లో ఆయన ముఖ్యఅతిథిగా పాల్గొని
మాట్లాడుతూ గ్రాంథిక భాష ప్రబలంగా ఉన్న రోజుల్లో గురజాడ వాడుకుభాషకు పట్టం
కట్టారని, ముత్యాలసరాలు అనే నూతన ఛందస్సులో కవిత్వం రాసి తన విలక్షణత
చాటుకున్నారని కొనియాడారు. ఇటీవల మన ప్రధానమంత్రి నోట గురజాడ కవితాపంక్తులు
దొర్లడం తెలుగు భాష గొప్పతనాన్ని విశ్వవ్యాప్తం చేశాయన్నారు. గురజాడ దేశమును
ప్రేమించున్నా గీతం దేశభక్తి గేయాల్లో తలమానికం అన్నారు. భారతీయ జ్ఞాన మూలాలు
బలీయమైనవని, వ్యాసుడు, వాల్మీకి ఈ జాతికి జీవన విధానం నేర్పారన్నారు.
కళాకారులు సాంస్కృతిక వారసులని కితాబిచ్చారు. ఆంగ్లేయులు దుష్ట ఆలోచనతో ఈ
దేశంలో అంతరాలు రాజేసి, ప్రజలను అజ్ఞానంలోకి, బానిసత్వంలోకి నెట్టారని,
సుసంపన్నమైన భారతీయ సాహిత్య వారసత్యం, కళాప్రతిభ కారణంగానే భారతీయ సమాజం
ఇప్పటికీ తన విశిష్టత, ఉనికి చాటుకుంటోందన్నారు. ఇప్పటికే 35 మంది
విద్యార్థులకు ఉచిత శిక్షణ ఇస్తున్నామని, నాటకరంగం పట్ల ఆసక్తి ఉన్న
విద్యార్థులకు సంస్కారభారతి పక్షాన సింగ్ నగర్ లో ఉచిత శిక్షణ ఇస్తామన్నారు.
జీవితాన్ని చెప్పేది కళ అని, కళారూపం అజరామరమని, కళను అభ్యసించాలంటూ
పిలుపునిచ్చారు. సభకు అధ్యక్షత వహించిన ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డా. మేకా రమేశ్
మాట్లాడుతూ వ్యావహారిక భాషావ్యాప్తికి జీవితాలను అంకితం చేసిన గురజాడ
అప్పారావు, గిడుగు రామ్మూర్తి చిరస్మరణీయులన్నారు. డీన్ ఆచార్య రాజేశ్ సి.
జంపాల మాట్లాడుతూ గురజాడ అప్పారావు ఆధునిక తెలుగు సాహిత్యాన్ని సుసంపన్నం

for NCC All India Thal Sainik Camp

Vijayawada, September 19: A 3rd year B.Sc. Bio Technology student of P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Vijayawada and 4 Andhra Girls NCC (National Cadet Corps) Battalion Corporal Rangisetty Pranitha has excelled at the national level in the prestigious camp organized by NCC. She got selected and secured the fourth position in the All India Thal Sainik Camp held in Delhi for Health and Hygiene (Group Kakinada). From 9 groups in AP and Telangana only 4 are selected in SW category. Praneetha is the only one Corporal to represent from AP other 3 are from Telangana. Dr. Meka Ramesh,Principal, Vemuri Baburao, Director, Assistant Professor of Economics, NCC ANO Dr. Rohini Kusuma, Colonel Praveen Yadav, Commanding Officer of 4 Andhra Girls Battalion congratulated Cadet Corporal Praneetha on Saturday.
Siddhartha Academy expressed happiness over Corporal Praneetha, being selected at the state level and representing Andhra Pradesh in the TSC camp and securing fourth place in the competition held at the national level.

Vijayawada, September 18: Cancer is one of the diseases caused by street foods, warns Dr. G. Sriram, a Professor at IIT Gandhinagar (Gujarat) and alumnus of P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Vijayawada. Speaking at a program organized by the Department of Chemistry, P.B. Siddhartha College on Friday at the seminar hall, Prof. Sriram talked on the targeted sub-cellular visualization with small molecule fluorophores and said that breast cancer cases are increasing in India and that women who crossed the age of forty should get tested. He said that light has a serious adverse effect on the body. He said that chemical molecules called fluorophores will be used to examine the mitochondria and to make the organelles inside the cells visible by illuminating them clearly. He said that only if the metabolic defects occurring inside the cells are identified, it will be possible to manufacture medicines. Prof. M. Basaveshwara Rao
Rector of Krishna University said that India is lagging behind in the world rankings in various aspects, though it has the roots of knowledge. Vijayawada, September 15: Students should develop language skills, and learning a new language improves social relations, conveys emotions and strengthens culture and job chances, said Ananthi Santhaiyan, Deputy General Manager, Regional Office, Reserve Bank of India. She participated as the chief guest in the Hindi Day program organized by the Department, P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Vijayawada, on the occasion of the conclusion of the Hindi Week and said that only with language can we connect with people, that communication is inevitable as a human being is a social being, and that learning a new language through books, mobile applications, bilingual apps and YouTube will sharpen the mind. She has presented certificates and mementos to the winners of various competitions organized by the Hindi Department for students of various colleges in the city for the past week. Swami Anubhavanand at P.B. Siddhartha

VIJAYAWADA, September 12: The faculty should balance the conventional
teaching time and provide inspiration and learning opportunities in the
student world, said Swami Anubhavanand. Addressing the faculty at a program
organized at the webinar hall of P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and
Science, Vijayawada on Saturday morning, he said that students should be
shown a way to make their own efforts and that students should not be like
statues and should participate. In the days of AI teaching, the faculty
should make students superior with responsibility, commitment and ethics.
Students and teachers should be available to each other. Those who worry
cannot inspire anyone. They should focus on themselves without focusing on
others. He said that problems in the teaching field have become complicated
with Gen Z students. He warned that using AI will slow down the minds of
students. He said that we should cultivate the quality of melting ice in
water without making a sound. He wants the mind to become a blessing rather
than a curse. Prof Rajesh C. Jampala, introduced Swami Anubhavanand to the
gathering and said that he has inspired many with more than ten thousand of
his speeches in English so far, and has also been a great inspiration to
YouTube viewers under the name of Smiling Swami. Vice Principals Dr. M.
Manoranjani, Narayana, Director Vemuri Baburao, and teachers participated
in the program.

On the occasion of Teachers' Day, P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Vijayawada and the Faculty Association jointly organized a felicitation programme for several teachers who had completed their twenty-five years of service in the college on Saturday in the webinar hall. At first, the Former Vice-Principal and a Retired Head of the Department of Biochemistry Mopidevi Nageswara Rao, and Retired Head of the Department of Commerce, and a Retired Associated Professor of PVP Siddhartha College K.V.R. Diksh*tulu were felicitated by Vemuri Baburao, Director, Prof. Rajesh C. Jampala, Dean, Koneru Sudheer, Secretary of Faculty Association, Balaji, Joint Secretary, and Vijay, Treasurer. Later, Director Vemuri Baburao, Dean Prof. Rajesh C. Jampala, Academic Officer, Head of Statistics G.
